Zayn's POV
Leukemia? But that's cancer. I turned around and ran out of the house. It was raining outside so I pulled the collar up on my coat and continued running. I didn't know where I was going and I didn't care. Lakshmi's words were echoing inside my head. I think it's leukemia. She couldn't have cancer and that was final. I only just got her back. I run faster and faster and soon come into contact with another person. it was Harry.
"Hey man we've been waiting for you", he states and points to the club. The music is pumping but I don't hear any of it, "Where's Lakshmi?" he asks and a tear escapes. Harry's face floods with concern, "What happened? where is she?" he demands.
"At home", I force out. The cold is getting to me now. My hair is a mess and is clinging to my face. my clothes are sticking to my skin.
"Lets go", he says and makes me get in the car. The car ride home is silent and Harry has a strange look about him. His eyes are set on the road and he's gripping the wheel so hard I think his knuckles are turning white.
When we get into the flat Harry almost kicks the door down and rushes into Lakshmi's room. When she sees us she runs straight to Harry and hugs him. He enveloped her in a hug and looks straight at me, "what did you do?" he demands and I shake my head, "what happened love?" He asks her and she weeps into his shirt and I stand there.
"I think I have cancer", that word again.
"We're going to be ok", I say and rub her back but she shoves it away.
"What Zayn? You ran as soon as I told you. Did it not occur to you that I'm the one with the bruises? Get Out!" She orders.
"He didn't mean it like that", Harry tries to reason.
"Get out both of you" she screams and covers her ears. I take a step towards her. Lakshmi bends down and pick up a shard of broken glass. she turns the pointed side around to her, "get out", she repeats and this time I don't question it.
Cancer has broken her.
A/N yeh this is short I have major writers block. anyways I'm thinking of starting another fanfic bout Harry. it's not in this series but it might be linked a tiny weary bit. I haven't posted it yet but ill let you know when it is so plez check it out,
