Chapter 17

Zayn's POV

It was not a surprise that I woke before Lakshmi. It was a challenge getting up since we were tangled up in each other. It was seven and the only reason I woke up was because the phone was ringing.

"Hello who is it?", I asked when I picked it up. I could hear sobbing on the other side of the line.

"Is Lakshmi home?", the girl asked. She sounded strangely familiar.

"Yes she is, shall I leave her a measage?", I asked and there was a pause.

"No tell her Lori's coming over", Lori said and then she hung up. I woke Lakshmi up.

"Hey a girl called Lori said she was coming over to see you", I told her and she got up.

"Ok thanks Zayn, go to bed ill tidy up", she says but I help her tidy anyway. I wonder if we're friends now or not.

"Lakshmi are we friends now?" I ask her and she laughs.

"Boys are so oblivious", she says. I'm still confused. Does that mean yes? She holds out her hand.

"Friends", she states and we shake on it. The doorbell rings and Lakshmi runs to get it. It was Lorena. The one I cheated on Lakshmi with. They were friends. Shit I'm screwed. Lorena was crying and Lakshmi was comforting her.

"What's the matter babe?", she asks and Lorena starts crying even more.

"I'm pregnant". Two words that shouldn't mean anything to me. I bet it's not even mine I mean it's been like two months or something.

"Do you know how far along?", Lakshmi asks. Lorena hangs her head.

"Two months", I start to panic. Everything was going alright and now a bomb was dropped on my life.

They both sat down on the sofa. "Do you know what you're going to do?" Lakshmi asks. Lorena puts her face in her hands.

"I don't know. Luc says I should get an abortion, but how can I do that? I can't kill a baby", she confesses. I stay in my room and listen to their conversation.

"Ask yourself this. If you have the baby will you be able to give it a good life? And will it ruin yours?" Lakshmi asks honestly.

"I can't afford a baby. I need my life first. But isn't it cruel to kill a baby?", Lorena asks. Lakshmi puts an arm on her shoulder.

"It's crueler not to give it a good life", Lakshmi concludes. Lorena nods.

"I don't have money for and abortion and I can't tell my parents I'm pregnant", the tears stop.

"I'll pay", Lorena starts to protest but Lakshmi stops her, "your my friend won't I do this for you? And I just released the album so I have a lot of money". Lorena nods.

"Zayn!", Lakshmi yells and I slowly come out, "this is Lorena", she introduces. We shake hands.

"Hi I'm Lorena", she says and urges me to play along.

"I'm Zayn", I say and she nods. Lakshmi doesn't sense the tension in the room. I need to talk to Lorena alone, "Lakshmi can you go to the shops and get some food for breakfast? We have nothing in?", I ask her and she raises an eyebrow at me.

"Will you be ok for a while?", she asks Lorena who nods. As soon as Lakshmi leaves I sit down on the sofa.

"Is it mine?", I ask urgently. Lorena nods. Is she sure I mean it could be anyone's. In high school she slept with loads of people.

"I'm not the same person I was then Zayn. I don't sleep around anymore. It is definitely yours", I took a breath.

"Lakshmi can't know it's mine", I state and she gives me a disappointed look.

"How could I do that? She's my friend and I could never see her hurt", she says and I trust her, I don't know why though.

"Ok i'll pay for the abortion", I say and she agrees. I hear the door open and close again.

"You're the father?", Lakshmi asks. We both look at her shocked. She turns to face Lorena, "and you're the girl who he cheated on me with?". She looks completely destroyed.

"How did you hear?", I ask her though I know the answer.

"I could sense the tension between you two and I could also tell that you knew each other. And Zayn try to make yourself more believable next time you lie to me". She says.

"Don't hate me", Lorena pleads and a tear rolls down her cheeks. Lakshmi comes over and hugs her.

"I don't hate you. Your my friend. And you weren't the one who cheated", she gave me a glare,"I will be there for you always", she says and they hug. How did I ever land a girl like this? And why did I ever let her go?

"So we're good?", I ask and Lakshmi gives me an evil look.

"We're good", she says signaling to her and Lorena, "but we", pointing to us, "aren't". She says and my heart almost shatters and I lose it.

"Why did you come here? You knew I was dating her you little bitch", I'm so mad I even raise my hand to hit her but my hand is caught. Lakshmi looks like she's about to rip my balls of and Lorena is behind her, scared out of her mind.

"You were going to hit her? What kind of man are you. Wait screw that, you're not a man, you are a pathetic little boy. We were doing well Zayn. When I said we weren't ok I meant we had to talk. You jumped to conclusions. And how is it her fault you got her pregnant. You better do something drastic to make this up to both of us", she says. God I really screwed up didn't I? I almost hit a girl. It's true a man wouldn't hit a girl. It was me who got her pregnant and I should face up to that.

"I'm sorry", I said, "to both of you". They just looked disgusted and left. Is this how it is now? I mean first Lorena was my friend then we dated then we slept together and she called Lakshmi horrible things. And now they're best friends against me? Thank you god for this great situation.

I'm going to have to think of a way to make this up and fast.

A/N hey guys I had to force this chapter out of me. Like constipation but with words. Yeh I had major writers block but yeh. You got the plot. I'm at home alone, someone is growing up. So yeh another chapter may be coming up soon but Idk. Who know about the universe?
