Lakshmi's POV

it was Saturday morning and I was ready to go to the temple. I was about to leave.

"Remember be very careful", my mum said, I rolled my eyes.

"Yes mum I know religious places are dangerous, don't worry I've got Niall", I said and he beamed. I had already said bye to Zayn before he left to Bradford to see his family.

"Ok be safe and have fun", she said and Niall and I climbed into his car.

"Ready to go?", he asked. I nodded and we got in.

"Niall there's something I've been curious about you guys for a long time", I say slowly. I guessed since we had three hours we might as well find out more about each other.

"Yeah", he says driving a bit faster than I would've liked.

"Do you ever read fanfics about yourselves?", I asked. I felt a bit stupid for still reading fanfics even after I met the boys but I couldn't help myself.

"No not really, do you still?", he said smirking. I swear smirking is like his hobby.

"Yes I do and I read a really good one about you", I inform him and he raises his eyebrows.

"Really what's it called?"

"Backfire, it's awesome. You fall for a girl called Alex by the way and I ship you two", I tell him very seriously and he just laughs.

"You're funny. Anyways I'm hungry", he complains.

"Yeh me two I've got some Nando's rice if you want", I ask him reaching into the bag.

"Ooh yes please, wait I'm driving how am I going to eat?", he asks.

"Well I guess you'll just have to go without food while I spend the next three hours eating lovely yummy food and make you watch", I say cruelly. He pouts and looks so cute like a baby.

"You could feed me", he says looking at me with puppy eyes. How could I resist those.

"You're just too clever for me". I say and start giving him the rice.

We arrived at the temple at around midday and we were greeted by Vikram one of the volunteers and my close friend. I hugged him quickly.

"Congrats girl, you made the program, and who is this?", he asked pointing at Niall. I rolled my eyes he always treated me like a little sister as he was four years older than me and we had known each other since I was 6 and he was 10.

"This is Niall, he's going to be staying because I couldn't come alone", I stated. He looked Niall up and down and gave him a firm handshake.

"What's he going to do around here for the next two days?", Vikram asked still burning a hole in Nialls face. Niall being the happy, carefree person he was, was still grinning like a Cheshire Cat totally oblivious to the fact that Vikram basically told him to piss off.

"I'll just help and do whatever you want me to, I'm under orders from her parents and boyfriend to keep her safe", he said matter of factly even though I didn't want him to mention I had a boyfriend. Vikram looked at me disapprovingly for a moment and then smile at me again.

"Ok so go to your room freshen up and in about 15 minutes you can come and serve ok?", I nodded. I took Niall to our rooms. It seemed there was only one room with two beds left as there were many kids staying on the camp. Niall and I had to share a room but it was fine.

The room was small and simple, nothing more or less than what you needed. I changed into my chudidar and washed my face. I tied my hair into a plait and we headed out.
