Mission 5: Interface

After crossing into the ghost ship, Conrad realizes that the ghost ship is bigger than he thought.

"Respond" said Conrad.

"Conrad we are entering the planet's atmosphere now, at our current rate of decay I've calculate we are roughly six hours before we impact the surface. Did you find the engine room yet?" asks Mia.

"Mia, I don't carry schematics of ghost ships around in my pocket. I have no damn clue what I'm look for or what to do when I get there," said Conrad.

"I understand Conrad. Attaching your modems to the terminals and reconnecting any broken cables will be sufficient to patch me through to the ghost-ship. Once the modems are online, I should able to give you further instructions..." said Mia.

'Should' doesn't put my mind at ease," said Conrad.

"Look we don't have much time. Hook me up as soon as possible. We still didn't get to talk about..." said Mia.

Conrad signs as he says disconnect.
Conrad is exhausted, his feet are beginning to ache in pain. He sits for a moment to allow his feet to rest. Slowly he started to drift asleep he dreamt about his wife and kid. 30 minutes pass and he hears a scream.
"What the hell, ASHTON, WHERE ARE YOU," yells Conrad as he jumps up. He pulls out his weapon and follows the screams. When he finally reached the screaming, his daughter was sitting in the corner balling her eyes out in fear.
"I want my daddy," says the little girl continuously. Recognizing the girl's voice Ethan puts his weapon away and starts thinking:
My little girl, she's alive, where's Ashton and what is my family doing on this ghost ship, I gotta find and Ashton but for now let's get Chloe to somewhere safe.
He walks towards the little girl while saying his daughters name hoping that it's her.
"Chloe," says Ethan.
The girl turns and runs towards her father.
"Daddy," yells Chloe as she leaps into Ethan's arms. Hugging his long lost child, he kisses and cries tears of joy that his little girl is still alive.
"Chloe sweetheart where is your mother, do you know where she is," asks Ethan.
"Mommy is this way, follow me daddy," says Chloe.
Conrad follows his daughter through the corridor and by the time Conrad realizes he was on an elevator that takes him and his daughter to the outside of the ghost ship. After dealing with bullshit he makes back inside. He fights his way through and finally he was on a gantry that leads to an elevator that leads to the cooling pools. After turning on three generators and clearing debris from a giant fan that removes plasma from the ship, he was about ready to call it quits until his daughter yells:
"Daddy look it's mommy."
"Ashton," Ethan says quietly
Chloe runs to her mother and she got to her mother's arms, a horde of aliens appeared in front of them, in fear Ashton picks up her daughter and runs for the elevator that leads to the cooling pools. Conrad realizing their safe, smiles and kills every single alien in sight while pushing forward to the elevator. After clearing the horde he makes it to the door before the elevator but something was wrong. He saw his family in the elevator but the door locked and Conrad trying so desperately to open the elevator to save his family but all of the sudden and explosions were going and Conrad knowing that his probably fucked puts his hand on the elevator door and says:
"I'll get you somewhere safe I promise, I'll be back."
The moss creature, the ugliest of enemy's that Conrad will face. The battle raged for what felt hours but it lasted for nearly 20-30 minutes. The sound of bullet shells hitting the floor, the roaring pain of the moss creature. When finally it hit the floor , Conrad walks over and shoots it in the head, it lunged in the air and its head blew off. Finally he makes way to the elevator door console and the door opens. He puts his weapon away and hugs his family. His wife puts her hand on his face and he closes his eyes when he opened them his wife was gone and so was his daughter but all he could hear was:
"I love you daddy"
The elevator door opens and Conrad is at the cooling pools.
