Chapter 2 - Someone New
The sky was getting darker when Nicole shut the door to the house. She could see her kid neighbors playing in the hard. The Thompson's in the other yard were the youngest. Their house was a vibrant blue, with red curtains.
There was a boy and a girl. They had an older brother and sister. But for now, Erica and Nelson stayed with their parents.
Erica was a short girl. She had pale green eyes, that seemed to always be looking at anything questionably. Her nose was usually scrunched up, mostly in disgust of Nicole. Her blonde hair was always down and flowing onto her back. She was like a twig, but that was only her shape. Don't get in a fight with her, she could rip you into tiny little pieces, that she would chew up and spit out.
Nelson was tall. He had the same pale green eyes that instead of looking at anything questionably, Nelson would look at everything with a whole bunch of interest. It was one of his ways. He was younger than Erica, the youngest of the kids. He was also scrawny, and was quite a nerd with those big wire-rimmed glasses that hung off his nose. He would frantically push them up with no avail. Erica would keep Nelson away from Nicole Chesser, so he wouldn't get hurt.
But Nicole couldn't help but laugh at this new sight. They seemed to be playing catch, and Nelson looked at Nicole right when Erica threw the ball. It smacked him right in the side of his face, causing his glasses to fly off his face. The wire glasses landed in the grass, fortunately.
Erica glares at Nicole right into her brown eyes. But Nicole knew how to make this fourteen year old angry.
Nicole cups her hands around her mouth. "Hey, Erica! Where's Craig and Zoe?"
Erica beckons for Nelson to go inside, but the eleven year old boy just stood there staring at Nicole with hate. No one talked of their brother and sister. Who did this woman think she was?
Erica stomps into the mud. "That's none of your business!" She screams loudly, her silky voice cracking. "You don't have any reason to talk about my family! Hey, Nicole! Is your father still drunk?"
Nicole just laughed, and went towards the fence. Erica made Nelson back up, her eyes wide. They knew what this twenty year old was going to do. Nicole put her hands on the top of the fence and jumped up. Her feet left the muddy ground, and she moved her body so it went over.
She landed into the Thompson's yard, her eyes filled with anger. She knew she started this, but she also was going to finish it. These little kids should never talk of her father, nor her mother. They were going to be in for a beating.
But before she could reach them, she stopped. Erica's eyes were still wide, her green eyes clouded with tears. She was clutching onto Nelson, who was behind her. They looked genuinely scared.
Nicole just turned back around and hopped over the fence once again. She could hear Erica breathe a sigh of release before yelling again.
"Thanks, jerk! Don't come near us again, or I'll get Craig to come home and beat you up, along with Zoe!"
Nicole just shrugged it off, not a single care about what they said.
---MEANWHILE---
The black haired boy screamed as he noticed his friend was behind him with a rocket launcher. The brown haired boy with the rocket chuckled softly before smashing the buttons on his controller so the rocket would kill his friend.
The rocket exploded, killing them both. The black haired boy, frustrated, started yelling. "Delirious! Seriously?!"
Delirious burst into laughter, banging his fist on his desk. It was always funny, sometimes even funnier when it was Tyler that he did it too.
