"...he was found on the side of the road I heard..."

"...she said he went somewhere..."

"...can't anyone tell that the bitch is lying?..."

"...guys, she probably didn't mean it..."

"...on the side of the road? What makes you think that..."

"...can we all just..."

The conversations carried on, discussing the way that Nicole would be brought up. Tyler thought that she was lying, Zoe thought she was with them, Evan was trying to make them all shut up, Masked was just defending, and Delirious was just trying to make the others mad. Nicole on the other hand sat outside the room, listening. She knew they didn't believe her. Although it was a true story. Except for being found on the side of the road. That was a straight up lie, and it seemed like they knew it.

She found herself tapping her foot on the wooden floor. All she wanted was to run home and tell her parents that she wanted to stay, that she didn't mean to say she wanted to move out. It was too late now. Her father had laughed, then forced her to go upstairs and pack her stuff, even though she had nowhere to stay. This was another reason they were arguing, some wanted her to stay, others wanted her to leave.

It didn't matter which happened, she thought. I just wish someone would tell me what is going on, and how I can solve it.

Her eyes looked at the bland ceiling, watching the fan go around. The room, or hallway, she sat in was quiet, but the door she sat up on was loud on the other side. She had met some of the others, but not all of them really liked her.

Hunter thought she had some kind of look in her eyes. "I don't like it," he told his brother, Tyler. "She seems to have this evil look in those eyes. Like she knows something we don't, and may never know."

She was right then when he said that. She glared at him with her green eyes, hoping it was "helping" his point. He pointed at her and mumbled a, "See?" before walking off. Tyler rolled his eyes at the young adult, muttering as he walked away as well. She was left all by herself on the wall, wishing she had never engaged in that conversation with Craig and Zoe. But, she knew it was probably for the best. Anything could really happen, and any of it could maybe be good.

Now, she fell as the door opened, only to be caught by someone's foot. As she looked up, she saw black hair and brown eyes staring down at her. She smiled at him, giving the brown haired man a thumbs up before getting up. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her to her feet, watching as she dusted herself off.

"Thanks," she said. "But I could have gotten up myself, you know."

He rolled his eyes playfully at her, and nodded. His brown eyes danced as he looked at her. She had a heart-shaped face, and her green eyes were deep, and dark. Her hair was down, falling onto her shoulders, it nice and dark as her eyes. She was wearing something different, as she had to change. She now wore a red tank top, with black ripped skinny jeans, red Converse, and a red Beanie. Her lips were formed into her own kind of smile, where all her teeth showed. They weren't perfectly white, but they weren't yellow. They seemed normal, and they were straight. She had told him earlier that she wore braces for a few years, trying to get them straightened.

Now, as he looked, he finally began talking. "I know, Nicole," he told her. "I just felt like helping. You had just had to listen to that fight going on in that kitchen, so might as well sort of make it up to you."

Nicole laughed, then rubbed her foot into the floor. "I don't know where I'll stay. I might go to a motel or hotel, which ever I come across first. It was nice to meet you, Evan."
