Nicole walked down the sidewalk in silence. She knew people walked on the other side of the road; she could see them in her peripheral vision. But she stared down and her black Converse, kicking little pebbles. Rain was now stopped. Nelson and Erica had ran into the house after their scary conversation with the twenty year old girl.

Now and then she would hear one of the other people on the opposite side on the road scream. Nicole would glance over quickly, careful not to let them notice her stares. One of the people was a girl, the other a boy. The boy had golden blonde hair, with little curls. He wore blue jeans and a short sleeve shirt. She couldn't read the words on it. The girl had dyed dark purple hair that went down her back, and wore a loose short sleeve black shirt with dark blue jeans. Her black and purple high tops kept in rhythm with the boy, and she had black framed glasses covering her eyes. She was average height, and the boy seemed a tad bit taller. They both we're looking at the boy's phone, and laughed and talked. Nicole felt a pang of jealousy. She didn't get to talk with friends, she didn't have any.

Nicole reached the store three minutes later, quickly walking in when she noticed the boy and girl crossing the road. Were they following her? She grabbed a green basket and walked down the dairy aisle, grabbing necessary
needs.

Her dark brown hair was hidden underneath the black jacket. Her ears were also hidden, but she could hear the two people behind her. They weren't laughing anymore. Trying to be as cautious as she could, Nicole turned around, only to bump into the boy. With a tiny yelp, she fell to the floor, cursing.

"Watch where you're going!" She yelled at him. "You bitch!"

All the things she had collected lay spread out on the tile floor. She kept cursing as she gathered up the groceries, only looking up as the girl with purple hair bent down and picked up the apples. She looked into Nicole's brown eyes with her green ones, smiling.

"Thanks," Nicole muttered. Purple Hair nodded and Blonde Curls began to laugh silently. "What are you laughing at, asshat?!"

Purple Hair started snickering at that. "Asshat? I didn't know someone could call someone that. I'm Zoe, and this is my brother Craig." She held out her pale hand out to Nicole, a grin still on her face. Nicole shrugged and shook her hand, then glared at Craig.

"Wait," she said, realizing something. "Erica and Nelson are your brother and sister?" The siblings nodded, grins plastered onto their faces. They didn't look very related, but Nicole knew not to assume. She knew the saying about assuming. It makes an ass out of you and me. "Oh. Then I guess you saw me jump the fence and almost punch your sister's face off."

"Yeah," Craig said, finally speaking. "Can we talk about personal stuff later? We have something to ask you. Like, huge. But we need to call up our friends so they can help."

Zoe nods. "Yeah. Plus, Erica is a little spoiled brat. Nelson is the sweet one if you didn't know," she tells Nicole.

"What do you need to ask me?"

Silence and tension filled the air. They didn't even know her name, and they were going to ask her to live with them. Zoe and Craig exchanged glances at one another. Who knew if this would work.

Zoe put a hand on her brother's shoulder, saying with her eyes, Should we tell her?

I don't know, he said back.

Nicole just gaped at them, then frowned. "Just tell me."

Craig nodded and walked foreword until he was face to face with her.

"First off, we noticed that you are quite the person. You're strong. You're independent. You have your own style. So, we wanted to know if you would hang out with us sometime. Go out to lunch, come play video games, anything as long as you get to know us. Your choice, Miss."

Nicole chuckled lightly. "I'm dangerous. You don't want to be friends with me, and plus, you don't even know my name!"

They all laughed, with Craig being the loudest.

"Okay then," he said between laughs, "what is your name, Nicole?"

"My name is Nicole - wait. How do you know my name?" She asks, looking at him like he was crazy. Her heart beat faster, and she backed up. "I've never even met you."

"Ugh, Craig, stop scaring her!" Zoe scolded, and looked her apologetically. She smiled at the surprised Nicole and went on. "We were your old neighbors, remember?"

"What did happen to you guys? All of a sudden it was just Erica and Nelson there, not you guys."

Craig scratched the back of his neck and Zoe shrugged. It was almost as if they were keeping it from her. As of they didn't want her to know.

"We will tell you if you come hang out with us." Zoe proposed, holding out her hand. Nicole looked at the pale hand and looked into Zoe's green eyes that seemed to be hypnotizing to look at. Zoe smiled and gestured to her hand still sticking out. With her hand shaking slightly, Nicole shook.

----MASKED AND DELIRIOUS----

"How do you think it's going?" Masked asked his brother, grabbing an apple from the bowl. They stood in the kitchen by themselves, since Evan took Elliot to get another Mtn. Dew. Delirious shrugged his broad shoulders and leaned against the marble counters.

He sighed. "Beats me, Nate." he said, using Mask's nickname. Masked laughed, and punched his brother hard on the shoulder.

"Shut up," he whined, pretending to not like his name. His mask was about to fall off his face, so being the big brother he was, Delirious reached across and pulled it up. Masked straightened it afterwards.

The brothers were alike in a lot of ways. They were both identity keepers, meaning they didn't really tell anyone about who they were and what they looked like. They both liked the idea of masks, and that is mostly how Masked got his nickname. Delirious got his because he was told that he and his laugh were both crazy, and he loved the sound of Delirious.

Delirious was a YouTuber, and Masked was his editor. They worked together, fought, and shared. They were basically the ideal siblings, other than the rumbles that went down everyday. They would bet something stupid, like a quarter, and fight. Delirious won a lot.

On the counter, Mask's phone vibrated. He smiled and picked it up. Delirious raised an eyebrow, but quickly shot any thoughts away that were very stupid, considering this was Masked.

"Yello?"

On the other end, Craig laughed. "'Yello'? Really?!"

"Yes!" Masked defended, sighing the process. Delirious started laughing at his brother, holding his stomach. "Now what did you fucking call me for? I was in a conversation with my brother."

Realizing he wouldn't eat the apple, Masked threw it back in the bowl. It landed perfectly, and he pumped his fist. Delirious laughed and pointed.

"It was one inch away, you dumbass! Of course you would fucking make that!"

Masked laughed to, and on the other side, Zoe stole the phone from her own brother.

"Hey!" she said through the phone. When no one answered, she said it louder. "HEY!"

Masked fumbled with the phone, dropping it into the floor. His face went red and he picked it up.

"What?"

"We got her. Tomorrow, at like three."

"Where at?"

"Where do you think, dumbass?"

"Here?"

"Yep," Zoe answered, her voice rising as she said it. "She said she had to take care of her parents. But right now, she is just hanging out. Maybe we could get her to stay. If we're lucky."
