Weeks had passed and I was still not getting much sleep. Just the thought of Killians smile or the way he used to look at me brought me to tears. I didn't know what to do. Killian refused to sign the divorce papers so we are forced to go to court. I marked the date on my calendar. It was only 4 days away. I had 4 days to get over Killian. I called Regina. "Regina." I said. "I need a boyfriend." It had been a long time since I ever said those words. "What? Emma you're crazy!" She responded. "If he sees I'm happy with someone else then he might just leave me." I said. "Emma why don't you just call him and work something out." Regina said trying to calm me down. "I've never seen you like this. Why do you want to hurt him so bad... I know you still love him." I smiled at what Regina had said. I did still love him and hurting him wasn't going to fix any thing. I needed to talk with him.
"I know he still loves you too!" Regina taunted. "Emma I have to ask you something." She said getting serious. "Sure...what is it?" I responded. "Robin asked me out." Regina said really fast. "Oh my gosh! Regina that's great! You have had a major crush on him and I knew he had a crush on you so it was about time..." I laughed. "I know! We are going out tonight." She said happily. "Well have fun!" I said. "Ok thanks Em! Bye!" She said and hung up the phone. I needed to talk to Killian but I didn't think he even wanted to look at me. I decided to text him. "Meet me at Granny's 12pm. We need to talk." It read and I clicked send.
Killian's POV:
My phone vibrated in my pocket. I picked it up and saw it was Emma. I quickly read her text. I didn't know if I should respond or even go. What if she loves me? What if she doesn't? She if she has moved on? I thought. But those were all "What if" questions. I would never be really sure of anything if I didn't at least speak to her. I debated going for a couple hours. Then finally sent a text back. It read "Ok love, see you then." I smiled. Maybe we were getting back together. I certainly hoped so.
Emma's POV:
I had got Killian's text and started walking to Granny's diner. I got there a couple minutes early and ordered two coffees. One for me and one for Killian. I used to do this every morning. Walk to Granny's, get our coffees and breakfast, then go home and eat together. I missed it. I heard the ring of the bell as the door opened. I turned around and saw Killian. "Hi." I said. I didn't realize how much I missed him until I saw him. I had the urge to just run up and kiss him. "Hello." He said back. I think he felt the same way I was feeling. Should I kiss him? Does he want to kiss me? I didn't know what to do so I just walked over and sat in a booth. He followed and sat across from me. Our hands sat on the table. I wanted to hold his hands again. Suddenly he grabbed my hands. We just started into each others eyes.
Our gaze was soon interrupted by the slamming down of mugs. "Here you go!" Granny said smiling. "Thank you." We both said and I took a sip of the hot coffee. "I want to be with you Emma." He said nervously. He had nothing to be afraid of because I was about to say the same thing. "You do?" I asked. "Yes I love you... More than anything." He said and grabbed my hand once again. I smiled he was so sweet. "I even got my job back." He said. "But Killian you hate that job!" I said. I could feel another argument forming. "I...I do." He said stuttering his words. "I did it for you." I didn't want to be the reason he got up everyday dreading leaving for work. "Why would you do that to me?" I asked letting go of his hand. "What do you mean Emma. I did this so we could be together." He said giving me a confused look. "Well I don't want to be the reason you have a job you hate!" I stood up and walked out of Granny's. Killian quickly came after me. "Emma! Emma, wait! He yelled after me then finally caught up to me and grabbed my arm. "I wanted to stop the fighting... Money is the issue now it's not. We can be together." He smiled at me. I turned around and faced him.
I couldn't think of anything to say and all of a sudden the words just came out. "I have a boyfriend!" I said. I saw the disappointment in his eyes. "No you don't." He responded refusing to believe what I had said. "Yes I do!" I quickly said back. "Well then what's his name?" He taunted back. I hadn't even thought about that. I just said the first name that popped into my head. "Jeff!" He gave me a dirty look. "Well have fun with Jeff!" He said and stormed off. I couldn't believe what I had done. I started to tear up right in the middle of the street. Stay strong Emma, I thought as I moped home.
Killian's POV:
Emma had a boyfriend? She had moved on that fast? This couldn't be true. I wouldn't believe it. She still loved me and I still loved her no matter what she does. I finally got to Robins and slammed the front door shut behind me. "Woah! What happened?" Robin asked. "Emma." I responded. "I thought you were getting her back." He said handing me a drink. "She already taken apparently." I responded rolling my eyes. "What do you mean?" Robin said. "She's dating some guy name Jeff." I said. "Emma can't be seeing anyone else...she is still in love with you." He said. "I'm not so sure about that, mate." I responded looking down. "Why are you all dressed up?" I asked. "I have a date with Regina." he responded smiling as he tied his tie. "Oh yeah! Finally." I said laughing a bit. "I should probably get going." Robin said grabbing his jacket and car keys. "Good luck!" I said as he shut the door. I was jealous that Robin had I date well I was stuck alone without my Emma. For all I know she could be with Jeff right now. Ew. The thought of her being with anyone else made me sick. I would find a way to get her back. I knew I would.
