My horse loves one stride poles. Don't ask me why because I don't know. So today's story;
Lulu was really soft today (for my newer horsey people that means she was responding to very light cues) which she usually does for leg cues, but she likes to ignore me when I ask to slow down. But today she was SUPER light, I could tie my reins in a knot and do my trotting with no hands exercise at not warp speed. IT WAS WONDERFUL
So we start the poles and she's a little excited and fresh so we go around a few times with out the poles just to let her get some energy out. Everything's nice and calm, we're in rhythm and smooth.
And then I make the mistake of starting with the one strides.
Me: oh crap well maybe she won't...
Lulu: VROOM VROOM WHEEEEEHHEEEEEHEEEEHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Me: .... Notice. *cries inside*
