"Wait, you know LINK!!??" I shouted to try and get Leeroy's attention again, but he was either out of hearing range or decided to ignore me.
I watched hoplessly as he turned to leave the room with Mr. Gabor, but then he looked back once more. I was either imagining things or going crazy, because I could've swore Leeroy's blue irises flickered for a moment, turning a deep crimson, and then returned to blue.
Whether real or not, I only saw it for a split second and then he was gone. I sighed, plopping back down in my seat as I tried to forget it all. Why would Leeroy know Link, and why would he want him? I shook my head for asking such a stupid question. In Hyrule, the answer would've been clear. Ganon had once managed to cross into this world, look somewhat normal, and then go back. Link's Hylean ears had also shrunk down to a normal size when he came. Perhaps Leeroy was another enemy of Link who thought that Link had come back with me.
"But that's not true," I mumbled to myself, "Link went back to his own time..."
Whatever the answer was, my brain hurt from thinking to hard and my brain almost exploded as the school bell rang. Whatever conclusion I came to would have to wait until after school.
My last two classes didn't take long, and Leeroy wasn't in either of them so I was able to concentrate for both. But as soon as I stepped outside, I remembered the strange encounter during lunch when I spotted Leeroy sneekily waiting under a tree for something. That something must have been me because he didn't take his eyes off me when he spotted me. I tried to ignore him but his cold, blue eyes seemed to freeze my very soul as I began to walk away.
I didn't want anymore to do with Leeroy, Hyrule, or Link until I could fit all the pieces together. I then realized as I reached the bench where I was to be picked up, that this puzzle didn't have all the peices. I growled in annoyance and turned around, glaring at the boy right behind me. I knew it was Leeroy because that cold feeling in my chest hadn't gone away. He reached for me, but I grabbed him first. "All right, mister," I spoke coldly, watching the malice in his eyes become utter confusion as I forced him to sit on the bench, "How do you know Link, and why do you think I have him?"
Leeroy blinked and tried to scowl at me, but all his confidence was gone. "I-Impa told me you knew how I could find Link," he mumbled, looking quite pitiful, "I assumed that meant you had taken him away."
I blinked, staring at him closely, trying to decide what to do with him. "Alright, come with me," I sighed, walking away from the crowd, "I'm stuck here for 30 minutes. You've got that much time to explain yourself."
Once we had found a nice grassy spot in a small park where nobody was I turned back to him,"Okay, so who are you exactly?"
Leeroy sighed, running his fingers through his black hair. "I guess I'll have to show you now," He mumbled, and closed his eyes.
He waved his hand over his face, and his appearance changed. Not alot, but enough to make him not normal. His skin color turned to something in between a very light grey and a milky brown. Something about his hair made it shadowy and unnatural but I couldn't tell what exactly. It almost seemed to be made out of pure darkness. The last thing I noticed were a couple strange glowing green markings on his wrists and lower neck, that would easily be hidden if he was wearing long sleeves and a collared shirt. He opened and narrowed his eyes, revealing them to be a deadly crimson.
"I am Dark Link."
