Official moving day! I've been living with Jimmy basically since we started hanging out, we can't let each other go. A week or two after our first date, we couldn't leave each other's sides. Constantly hanging out. Constantly at his place since he's closer to Rockefeller than I am.
I have my basic everyday needs at his apartment. Clothes. Shoes. Makeup. Hair shit. His poor bathroom counter looks like Ulta threw up on it. He's such a trooper though. I cut my apartment lease short this month. I'll miss this loft style apartment a lot actually. But new things are ahead and I'm ready for the journey. Though I didn't want my first weekend off packing up my apartment but that adulthood for ya!
As I pack a few old yearbooks, magazines I've done work in and a few with Jimmy in them. He will never know about them and I'm perfectly fine with that. All my furniture is going into a storage, along with everything else.
"Spence!" My favorite voice echoes from the front door.
"Closet!" I shout as I crawl out from it.
I watch two giant feet walk in, folded boxes bouncing off the knees above with each step. "Hey, I got you more boxes and some tape!" Jimmy smiles as he drops everything on the cream tile floor.
I smile back at him, I don't know how you couldn't return it. "Thank you, baby! Will you tape the bottoms? All I have left is this closet and the bottom cabinets in the kitchen.."
"Totally!" He folded and tapes them in seconds. "Want me to do the kitchen? Get you done quicker?"
I let a breath out. "No.. Just keep me company?" I shrug with a smile.
"Anything for you, baby." He steps over a pile and sits against the wall in the closet.
"Could you imagine living in something this small?" This closet is maybe 7 feet wide and long. Jimmy barely fits in it.
He nods. "My first apartment was maybe, MAYBE six of these. I was 20 and out doing stand up. At the time it was huge, thinking back now, it was literally a closet." He chuckles. "Crazy to think of it." He rummages trough a few boxes to keep himself quiet. "Baby, what's this?" I hear a smile before I see his face.
"What's what?" I turn to him holding a pink vibrator in his hand.
I bust up laughing for still having it, Jimmy just looks at me. "It was a joke in college. I honestly don't remember it, but it's still brand new." I hold my hand to my mouth. "I honestly thought we left it in our dorm."
"It's still new? Never used?"
"Never used. We bought it, batteried it, set it in one of our roommates bed, and we ended up switching whatever prank we did, so I stashed it in my stuff to toss."
"Maybe it's time he she whatever, had its fun. We can use it tonight." His face and voice gets evil as he turns it on. "Oooh!" He smiles at his shaky hand.
I lean over on my hands and knees, the vibrator resting on my shoulder. "I like the real deal."
"I have the real deal.." Jimmy's tone gets confident.
"Exactly." I kiss him. "You're twice that big anyways, he she whatever wouldn't be much fun."
He turns it off and tosses it to the garbage box. "I like that, baby." He kisses me this time.
"Yeah? Good, because I enjoy every inch of you." Our lips touch once my phone rings in my pocket. Dad? He never calls me. "Hi, daddy." I sit back on my feet and watch Jimmy look through a small box.
"Hey, sweetheart!" I hear him smile, making me do the same. "Mom and I were thinking you could come over for dinner tonight. Since I haven't seen my baby girl in a few months."
