It's been two days since dad met Jimmy, and he hasn't made the effort to call or text me. Mother her nosey self, hasn't even bothered to talked to me.

Walking back into the office, my phone dings in my drawer. A voicemail ding. I spoke too soon, dad just called.

"Hey, Spencer.." He sighs. "It's your father.. I need to talk to you, babe. I'm sorry about Saturday night and I can explain to you." He's silent, he seems so awkward. Where's my non shutting up dad?! "If you could come over tonight after work, that'd be great. I don't want to say this, but just you, Spin. Just some father daughter talk. Alright, baby girl, I love you. Hopefully I'll see you tonight.. Bye." He sounds choked up by the end.

'I can make it tonight.' I quickly text him back.

'I'm going over to my parents place tonight after work.' I text Jimmy, he's busy with the show, lunch was only 10 minutes today.

'Thank you.' Dad replies.

'Ok, but I might not be home until 8..' Jimmy quickly texts back.

'Kay! I'll let you know when I'm home :)'

'Sounds good :)'

....

For some reason I'm terrified to face dad again. The hard part is over as of Saturday night. My shaky hand barley knocks on their door. Within the first knock, the door swings open. "Dad's at the table." Mom grabs my hand. What the hell is going on?!

"Collin?" I shoot my brother a look. He shrugs with wide eyes.

"I assume you know why I called you over?" Dad folds his arms on the table. His eyebrow peaks over his glasses.

I nod. "Because of Jimmy."

"Fallon?" Coll looks over at me. "You're dating him, I thought it was a joke!"

"Yes." I drop my head in my hands, closing my eyes.

"Spencer." Dad's stern. "How long were you going to hide all this?"

"Is this why I'm here? For you to lecture her and me watch her get embarrassed?" Collin butts in.

Mom shakes her head. "No, it's family dinner night."

"Since when?!" Coll and I ask together.

"Since dad and I decided on it last night. We haven't seen you two together in months. Christmas doesn't count." It should.. We were all together for the whole day.

Dad nods at mom. "Spencer, my question."

"I wasn't hiding it from you guys. Okay, maybe from mom because she's a little crazy." She glares at me. "But, daddy, I didn't mean to hide it from you. Honestly, I was planning on telling you first. That week we made it official, I just got sidetracked with work and everything."

"But you ended up telling mom when you went to sleepover at his place that one night."

I sigh and drop my head on the table. "Dad, that doesn't matter.."

"It does because I don't want you pregnant before marriage. I want you stable."

"I'm not going to get pregnant! I've been fine for years, daddy."
