New ally

Jesse woke up early.

The cave seemed cramped.It was only made for one person.

I need to go outside.

It was too hard to think in the cave.Jesse noticed that Amber was gone.Was she up to something?Or maybe she felt that her cave was cramped too.Maybe she needed to think about the whole Endermen-are-taking-over-the-world thing.

So Jesse went outside.

Amber was sitting down next to a tree and staring up into the trees with her eyes glazed over.

"Hey."Jesse greeted,jumping down from the hill.

Amber snapped out of her daydreaming state and waved.Jesse smiled back.

"Just thinkin'."Amber said.

"What about?"

"Stuff.Monsters.Cows."

"Okay."

Amber got up and stared at Jesse for a moment.

"What are you gonna do?"She asked.

"Go to Soren's.You know,the old leader of the Order."Jesse explained.

"Why would you go to him?"Amber's voice had a strange edge to it.

"Turns out he's been living in the End.Studying Endermen."Jesse unsheathed her diamond sword and looked at it."He started this whole mess.He must have a cure."

Amber nodded."That makes sense."

The door opened and Petra came out.She gave Amber a look and the girl flinched away,but still stared back.Petra gave a short huff.

"I'm gonna look for some apples."Petra announced.

"It's too dangerous to go alone."Jesse protested.

"Ugh...fine."Petra walked back to the door."I'll wake the others.The sooner we find the cure,the sooner we can go back to our normal lives.

When Petra went back inside,Jesse gave Amber an apologetic shrug.

"Yeah,she doesn't trust me at all."Amber shrugged back.

"Sorry about that.The last time she was so trusting she got scammed out of a diamond and helped a guy make the Witherstorm."Jesse explained.

"Okay."

The rest of crew came out of the hill,Axel rubbing his eyes.Jesse smiled at them but Petra was busy staring at Amber.

"Well,thanks for everything."Jesse thanked Amber.

But before Jesse could start walking Amber grabbed her arm.

"Wait.Can't I come with you?"Amber pleaded.

"We do life-endangering situations.Why would you want to come?"Petra asked before Jesse could speak.

"It would be nice having company for once,and you might need an extra hand."Amber said.

Jesse stared into Amber's pleading eyes for a moment.Out of the corner of her eye she could see Petra and Axel shaking their heads while Olivia had her I'm figuring something out face on.

"Well...okay."

Looks like I'm stuck with a scar.The wound won't go away!It's sorta annoying,but it's not like people are gonna see.

Hmm...It keeps trying to escape.People that can see me won't know it.Yet.

Ugh.

I don't have much to fight for.My life.My stuff.My house.

That's it.

The Endermen still avoid me.I guess it's cool,but it's freaking me out.

Just came back from watching Mockingjay part 2.It was so intense.

And I was the trailer for Alleigant.OH MY GOD YES.FREAKING ALLEIGANT.
