Chapter 5:

"Niki!!"

Shan watched as her sister snapped out of staring at the battle between the two strangers.

"Come on!!"

Niki blinked a couple times, "Right!"

Scooping her Mudkip up into her arms, Shantyl made her way through the litter of broken glass on the floor as quickly and safely as she possibly good.

Niki followed behind with her Treecko.

The sisters hurried with the few trainers to huddle in a corner of the lobby as the wind whipped around, affected by the strong psychic and dark attacks the Pokemon used.

Shanny slipped a lock of her brown hair behind her ear as she stood next to Nurse Joy.

The woman had called up the local authorities and was narrating the events that had occurred in a soft, low voice.

Shantyl glanced at her sister who was watching the battle with intense concentration, Pokedex in one hand and the other holding Treecko's arm.

Glancing at the fight, Shan let her eyes adjust to the flashes of light and swift movements between the boys and their Pokemon.

The boy with chocolate brown hair who'd fallen into the fountain was still dripping wet. He wore a jacket over a red shirt and loose pants. The smile on his face didn't fall for a second as his Houndour dodged it's opponents attacks and released powerful, dark attacks.

A shadow ball rushed through the air, missing the Espeon completely and barrelling toward the other mysterious man.

He dodged, his face as monotone as before, before he snapped his fingers, signalling for his Espeon to attack with a bright psychic beam.

It hit it's mark, sending Houndour flying into it's owner.

Shantyl didn't glance away even when Niki began to whisper with a few trainers who stood near by.

The tall man walked through the rubble of broken wood and glass, his espeon leading the way.

He had dark hair with a streak of violet cutting through the middle, sweeping down his forehead. In a long trench coat and seemingly no other Pokemon but the Espeon that walked in front of him, he cut across as a rather scary figure.

Crouching when he neared the blond boy, who lay sprawled across the floor, he lifted one gloved hand to touch the boy's face.

"Stop right there!" A female voice yelled.

All the trainors in the room whipped their faces around, looking over at the shattered glass that seemed to serve as doorway.

Two women in uniforms stood just outside the crash site with strong looking Pokemon.

"You are both under arrest. Put your hands up."

The man in the trench coat slowly raised both hands as the blond boy began to sit up.

Houndour revived too and his owner tilted his injured face to the side, a small smile beginning to grow, "Yay, It's the police."

One of the ladies stalked into the building, cautious and her eyes not leaving the two offenders who stayed where they were, surrounded by rubble.
