Jonathan woke with sweat plastering his hair to his forehead. His chest heaved with his breathing as he tried to steady it to a normal pace. He could hear his beat thumping in his ears but could find no was to silence it. Even when his breathing had returned to normal and the sweat had stopped pouring down his face, he could steal hear the dull thud of his heart. It was an odd sound to him due to Jonathan not being able to hear his heart beat for the last few years. He was thankful for the noise, it gave him reassurance to something he had doubted for rather a long time.

It was then that a question crossed through Jonathan's mind. If he was dead in Edom, why did crossing through the portal revive him like it did?  It was something he had never thought of before as the concept of being alive dismissed any odd feelings regarding the circumstances. The thought of crossing through a portal from one world to another was strange enough. Adding the sudden ability to revive someone to their natural state of living was just strange and something not worth thinking about.

The thought added to the confusion that already plagued Jonathans mind. At first, it was just the worry of the plan going wrong, The fear of losing Beth was worse than anything he had ever felt in his entire life. Now, he had to worry about the portal and its strange affect on him.  Was nothing going to go right for him?

Deciding he had spent far too long in his sweat covered clothes and duvet, Jonathan took to the shower. His duvet had dried somewhat, but his clothes were still stuck to him as if they had been pasted on him with glue. Stripping them off, he stepped into the shower and quickly scrubbed all of the remaining sweat from his hair and body. The feeling relieved him greatly, but it didn't take away the  anxious feeling he still had coursing through his veins.

Once finished, Jonathan towel tried his head and body and slipped into the workout clothes he had been wearing the day before. If there was nothing he could do to stop Beth with going through the plan, then he was going to find another away around it. Even if it took another does of the Hell Fire workout to do so. He wasn't going to let Beth suffer her own demise whilst he stood back and watched.

The training room was freezing when he first entered, it felt as though someone had left a window wide open and cold winter had been allowed to flow freely. The only thing was that there was no window that could have been left open. The cold feeling was just the result of moving from the warm shower to the training room. The air was a definite shock to the system for Jonathan, but he just brushed it off and accepted it for what it was. In doing so, it pushed him to work harder than he had originally planned to do so.

Jonathan was determined to work harder then he had ever done before, but strength wasn't the only thing he needed. He needed to build up his fighting ability if he were to find another way around Lilith's attack.  So, instead of starting out with the Hell Fire, Jonathan set up a target at the far end of the room and grabbed the bow and arrow he was determined to master. Whilst being in charged of The Endarkened, Jonathan had used nothing but a sword and that memory had haunted him for as long as he could remember. He was determined never to use a sword for evil again.

At first, he was an awful shot. He could barely hit the target let alone the very center. If he were to take down a single demon, his aim had to be exact and so far, it didn't look like that was going to happen. After a while, his aim improved and he was getting slower and closer to the center, only he still couldn't get it dead on. His lack of aim grew infuriating after a while and there seemed to be no way to improve.

Elsewhere, Alec and Isabelle was heading towards the kitchen, both hungry for breakfast. Neither of them had spoken to Jonathan since his arrival and had no intention to do so. Both still despised him for their brothers deaths and neither was likely to forget it. It was easier said than done in terms of keeping out of the way of Jonathan. He seemed to be everywhere Beth went and it annoyed the hell out of them. There seemed to be nothing they could do to avoid him. Nothing at all.
