Chapter 4

SEAMUS'S POV

Stupid girl. Stupid Sly. Stupid hunters. Stupid Powers. Stupid EVERYTHING. Why is it that whenever I start to get just a little bit comfortable with the way things are going, the universe has to throw another curveball at me? I mean come on universe give me a break. How did Koots do this? And he did it so well too. I groaned and decided to bring out the old game boy to calm my nerves.

It wasn't working, Immortal kept coming to the front of my mind. What was going on with him? I wasn't as close to him as sly was, but he was still my friend. I didn't want anything bad to happen to him. If Immortal would just open up a little bit... But noooo he has to go and be Mr. Tough "I can take care of myself " guy. The truth is he can't and he has to get help so we can figure out what the hell is wrong with him. Scratch that there is nothing wrong with him, he is just going through a rough time. I scolded my self for even thinking that.

But I'm in charge, I'm responsible for all of the guy's irresponsible little asses and I don't think they get that. At least Sly has finally agreed to training. That will be a blessing to everyone. I mean we can't go through breakfast without him growing a tail.

And since the girl is now in the know with all of our supernatural stuff, we have to be more careful. It's bad enough looking after these idiots when they are trained fighters. But now I have to look after this dumb girl. Maybe she will freak out, leave, and get on with her life. She still has the choice, and she will want to leave when she is too far deep to get out, I guarantee that.

"Hey Seamus!" She came down cheerfully. Great I think I spoke too soon. Her heartbeat was steady, damn I guess being scared of us was out of the question. Stupid Aleks, if I were the one telling her I would have just said 'we're monsters that may or may not eat your face off. Enjoy your stay'. But no Aleks had to be the softy and make it seem like we turn into little bunnies and save the world with rainbows. Ok maybe he didn't say that, but I wouldn't be surprised if he said something along the lines of us.

"Hey," I waved a hand half-heartedly without looking up from my game. Pretending I'm too fully into it for human interaction. I'm pretty sure this is gonna be our relationship for a while.

IMMORTAL'S POV

Oh. My. Freaking. God. I just told her everything. Well almost everything. I had left out a couple parts in things she asked. Hopefully I played it off cool, or at least mysteriously. But knowing me I probably just sat there like a babbling idiot. Great job me. But at least she wasn't freaking out like I thought she would. Or maybe she is and she is just really good at hiding it. Either way is fine by me. I just hope Nova starts her training soon so I can stop worrying about her.

Sam started to unpack her things from a bright orange backpack, and I decided that was my cue to leave. I decided to look for one of the guys and try and figure out what's going on with me. Maybe we can stop it before Sam see's me like that and thinks I'm a total freak. Not that she doesn't already think that, I mean she's in a house full of monsters pretty sure I'm the most normal one in here to her. I came downstairs to Seamus playing on his gameboy.

"Hey, Seamus. Can I ask you something?"

"Shoot." He said not looking up from his game.

"Be honest, what do you think about all the stuff thats going on with me." He sighed and put down his gameboy, which was not a good sign.

"I honestly don't know what to think. It's not normal I'll tell you that. much. Either something with the changing, or with just YOU. But in order to figure things out, you gotta be completely open and honest with us ok? We just don't want anything to happen to you." he looked genuinely concerned. That was a new look for Seamus completely. But it made me feel like I was finally excepted. Which made what I was about to do, that much harder.
