IMMORTAL'S POV

I opened my eyes. The word echoed throughout my head: everyday. Having that happen everyday, was unthinkable. And I was already feeling, different somehow. I realized I was back in my room. I rolled to my side, resulting in falling of the bed. I groaned, every inch of my body hurt from last night.

I walked downstairs to the smell of eggs and bacon. "Oh my god WHO COOKED!?" I yelled happily down the hallway.

I stepped into the kitchen to four smiling faces and an extra plate obviously reserved for me. "This magical girl right here!" Nova screamed with his mouth full. I laughed, it must have been good to get Nova in a good mood in the morning. I sat down in front of my plate and savored every bite.

"How you feeling?" Sly asked concern creeping into his voice.

"Like I've been hit by a truck. But I'll be fine after I eat, always do." I said trying to reassure him. Seamus was joking and laughing, maybe just for my sake but it was a nice change of pace. Maybe this girl coming was a good thing after all.

"So I take it you like the food?"

She received different different sounds of pleasure from all of us. "It beats burnt toast any day."

"Well I'de hope so," she said sarcastically.

I laughed and closed my eyes. A scene of Sam hurt and scared flashed before my eyes. I opened my eyes and started choking on my eggs.

"You ok?" Sly asked.

"Yeah just went down the wrong pipe." I lied. Sam stared at me, obviously not buying it. Great, she's smart too.

"How about today we take a day off. You know take it easy, maybe go to the movies." Nova suggested. "We haven't gone in forever and it will be good to welcome Sam."

'everyday.' "Um, I might sit this one out, still not feeling that well, just gonna rest up." I added.

"Come on a movie never hurt anyone." Seamus pried. Seamus was in an extremely good mood, these were rare ever since kootra died, so I didn't want to break it.

"Ok, ok I'll go." I put my hands up in surrender jokingly. 'You sure thats a good idea? Don't want to slaughter the whole movie theater. They should just lock you up now.' I ignored my thoughts and laughed along with everyone. Plastering on a fake smile, so much for being honest to everyone. Obviously that plan won't work out.

"Hey Immortal want to help me clean up while the others get ready?" Sam offered. I nodded and started bringing plates up to the sink. "What's going on with you?" She asked, concern soaking her words.

"What do you mean?"

"You can't lie Immortal, you may have the others fooled, but I'm not the others so fess up."

"You wan't to know the truth? I think I'm going freaking insane!" I said my voice raising slightly. I took a deep breath. "Look I'm sorry for dumping so much on you, but the guys are enough for one person to handle. I don't want to add my problems onto you."

"Please?" She said looking at me with a puppy dog face. I groaned and turned back to the table to collect the cups.

"Well something went wrong during my changing, instead of turning into an epic animal of destruction, I get these vision things. And it's not a party, I'll tell you that."

She looked down at the plate she was washing, "Oh, I'm sorry I di-"

"Don't apologize, I would have been curious too." I reassured her. She smiled and we washed dishes together in silence. It was a good silence though, it was nice. I really looked at her for the first time since she arrived. I found the combination of light hair and dark eyes beautiful. And her eyes weren't just brown, they had wisps of gold swimming in them.
