PART ONE: Decoded Survival
Camila
Camila woke up in the darkness. It was complete black and she suddenly remembered what had happened. She felt a surge of panic in her body as she blindly felt around for a switch or even better an exit.
As if someone had read her mind- please don't let that be true- the lights flickered on and large florescent bulbs were glaring down at her. She was lying on top of a white stretch bed, the kind you get taken away in when you're dead.
Everything in the room was white. Pure, unfiltered white. There was a dozen more beds all load out in neat rows. Camila climbed out of the bed and quietly passed outside.
It was silent. It felt like how it did when she was in hallways after the first message appeared in the bathroom and she had ran out.
She hated the silence.
She continued to aimlessly shift through the corridors which felt like never ending, forever twisting mazes. After hours of searching, Camila began to feel like she was being watched.
The prickly fear that never white left had suddenly strengthened. Her pace quickened and her posture tensed.
That's when she heard it.
It was a soft noise, but it was like a growl. A raw, animalistic and dry growl. And Camila wasn't going to wait around to see what came from it. She started to run, taking turns whenever they appeared as the growling went from small lapses to a constant noise.
Please whatever God I'm praying to, please let me out alive.
In her panic induced hysteria Camila hurtled through the hallways, madly rushing into any corner that was open.
There were signs of life everywhere.
A doll torn in half carelessly thrown at the wall- or maybe something tore it and threw it- a piece of torn cloth on the path she was running on.
And blood.
Oh god the blood, it was everywhere. Honestly, what had happened here?
It wasn't just in large masses but in small doses, enough to make it seem like there had been a fight, a war- something terrible wicked.
But once again, Camila didn't want to find out what exactly had happened. She'd watched enough horror movies to know whatever happened was no way going to help her.
She just wanted out of this- this place.
The sound was more louder, she could feel the breath that carried back with it. The echoes were bouncing off more faster.
She needed to get out faster. In blind frustration she urged her tiny legs to cover more lengths.
Finally Camila spotted the exit sign, glowing neon green sign that hung above double doors. In hindsight it suddenly seemed to easy but the growling made up for it as Camila pushed through with force and stepped into a world that was not her own.
