Camila
The first thing Camila noticed when she woke up that it was cold. By cold, she meant freezing cold. Like, we're talking Antarctica cold.
The second thing Camila noticed was that the sound of Lauren bustling around in the kitchen which she was so glaringly familiar with was absent.
And oddly enough, that scared Camila shitless. She raced towards Lauren's room but silent opened it to see that Lauren was still sleeping.
Lauren's mouth hung open and it looked like she was mumbling something in her sleep, her hands were lifting and raking the air. Camila silently giggled at Lauren's sleeping form before shutting the door backing into the hall.
Now to investigate the cold. Camila peeked through the closed curtains that Lauren insisted on keeping to maintain a low profile as she put it. What she saw made her squeal like a little kid on Christmas morning.
Snow!
Camila let out another sequel before she raced back to Lauren's room. This time she didn't pay any of the courtesies she had last time but simply bust into the room, startling Lauren awake.
"What who what..." Lauren mumbled sleepily shooting up, already reaching for a tennis racket she had picked up yesterday.
"Lauren! Wake up! Hurry!" Camila yelled, bouncing up and down. Lauren groaned.
"Camilaaaa, no please. The one time I decide to sleep in and you wake me up." Lauren wailed, laying back down.
Camila ignored the little flutter in her chest when Lauren mentioned her name and stood her ground.
Camila huffed and began to shake Lauren again. Lauren merely pushed Camila away before turning on her side facing the wall. Camila glared at Lauren's body before marching towards Lauren and pulling the covers off her completely.
"Camila what the hell." Lauren yelled, curling into a little ball, shivering like mad.
"You have to see this!" Camila insisted.
Lauren immediately sat up, surveying Camila with a somber interest.
"What's it? What did you see? Do we need to pack-"
"Just come!"
Lauren shot a look to Camila that Camila was all to well comfortable with before following Camila's excited self to the window. Lauren stared at Camila expectantly when Camila pulled the curtain in a flourish.
"I present you, winter!" Lauren only raised her eyebrows at Camila.
"And?"
"And snow!"
"This is why you woke me up?" Lauren asked. Camila nodded. Lauren made an annoyed face.
"I'm going back to sleep." Camila's jaw fell.
"It's winter you can't do that." Camila spluttered.
"Already doing it." Lauren called out, walking faster to her room as Camila followed behind.
Once Lauren realized that Camila was behind her she stopped to survey Camila.
"Camila I don't even get why you're making such a big deal out of it. It's just cold."
"It's not just cold!" Camila said indignantly.
"It's winter, that means snow, hot chocolate and best of all, Christmas." Camila explained. Lauren rolled her eyes.
