Lauren
Lauren woke up before dawn.
She had another one of those terrifying nightmares of that night.
God, could she be more clichéd?
Mentally congratulating herself for not screaming in her sleep, she bumbled off the bed and went to get changed.
Camila wasn't awake yet. She slept in a lot.
Lauren busied herself by making breakfast. For the first time in a long time she'd been able to stay in a house without being attacked. In the area where she woke up in had Glitcheds lurking in any dark space they find.
They always came out at night, each with their heightened sense trigger, hunting for their prey.
Lauren was always on the run at night.
She stayed mostly at the top of the church tower in the bell room. She had broken down the spiralling metal stairs so that nobody could climb up unless they climbed the tree that was right next to the building.
She was cleaning up her plate when Camila entered the room. She looked awfully tired to have slept in so long.
"Sleep well?" Lauren asked raising an eyebrow. Camila shook her head and rubbed her eyes.
"No! I think I slept for three hours at most." Camila whined. Lauren nodded at her.
"That sucks." She offered. Camila shrugged and opened up the fridge and scanned it.
"We need to go shopping." Camila noted. Lauren almost choked on her glass of milk.
"Camila I don't think it's safe to go out." Lauren managed to say between coughs. Camila frowned at her.
"What are you talking about? I've barely been in the house since I got here." Camila told her. Lauren stared at her shocked.
Did she have a death wish?
"You went out everyday?" Lauren asked slowly. Camila nodded.
"Yes, there's this shop near the storage unit I woke up in. It's stocked and it's pretty close." Camila replied as if it was the most normal thing in the world.
Lauren then remembered that this side of the town was actually safe.
"Come on I'll show." Camila said already heading to the door. Lauren sensed that Camila was an outdoorsy person.
An exact opposite of Lauren.
Even in her Predictions Lauren and her Predictions friend Ally would have marathons of watching movies instead of going out to parties. Lauren was the ultimate couch potato ironically. She was 100% sure that every other life she could have would have her as a couch potato.
Lauren followed Camila outside, stuffing her knife and a cereal bar in the pocket of her leather jacket. Camila, she noticed had a backpack on her shoulder and was gesturing towards the empty roads ahead.
Instinctively Laure looked behind her shoulder to check if nothing was there before following Camila.
The walk was fairly short, ten minutes max.
Lauren was surprised to see that Camila was actually right. She threw the storage unit an apprehensive look before ducking into the store.
Lauren Jauregui had seen a lot of odd things in her lifetime, but none came close to a fully stocked store that was void of any Glitcheds.
