Nick's POV

"I LIKE TO EAT EAT EAT COOKIES AND FUDGE BROWNIES! I LIKE TO EAT EAT EAT COOKIES AND FUDGE BROWNIES!" I sang to Eli as she stirred cookie batter. She giggled.

"SHHHH! The whole neighborhood will hear you and we can't eat the cookies and brownies if the neighborhood knows!"

"Right...."

She laughed again and I hugged her from behind, burying my head into her neck. She shivered and pulled away gently, pushing my chest back. She gazed sorefully at me, her iriss growing large.

"Nick. I don't like where this is going." she said, gently bumping me away with her hip, smiling.

"Oh come on!" I protested, trying to take her arm, she shyed away, ducking her head. I let my arm fall and watched as she took the stirring spoon from the counter and resumed stirring the batter. "Not one hug?"

"Nu uh. Not now. No way." she stated clearly, I sighed and sat on a chair, slumping foward, examaining the way she stirred, watching the muscles in her back contract as she moved her arm in the thick batter. "I like our friendship how it is. We aren't progressing foreward."

"Friendzoned...." I muttered dejectedly, she flashed me a stunning grin after turning around. She went back to stirring, quietly humming a song to herself. I took out my phone and started to scroll through Tumblr, pictures of cats in hats and Sherlock perked up my mood.

Eli started to pour out her brownie batter into small muffin cups. She beckoned for me to get up and help her. Standing up with a sigh, I loped over to where she was standing, punching her shoulder lightly. She didn't winced andreplied with a hard kick at my shin. I winced and picked up a spoon, dipping it into the brownie mix and eating it.

"Nick!" she gasped, slapping my arm, and taking the spoon from my hand. "I told you to come help me! Not eat the batter!" I smiled cheekily at her, dipping a finger into the batter and raising it to my mouth. I winked and ate what batter was on my finger. She sighed exsaperatly and motioned for me to leave her alone. I scooped up another fingerful of batter and took a big step back to my chair before Eli could aim a well place kick higher than my thigh.

I took ourmy phone and resumed scrolling through Tumblr. Suddenly a shower of flour powdered my face. i gasped. And Eli broke into hysterical laughter, continuing to scoop brownie batter into the muffin cups. Well. Two people can play at this game. I fell to my knees and crawled to the bag. I scooped up flour and stood over her and realesed a volley of flour onto her hair. She gasped and kicked backwards at me, getting a kick at my knee.

"WELL! I'M GONNA GO CLEAN UP. ADIOS AMIGOS!" I yelled loudly, poking Eli's side and limped away. She flinched away, and turned around. Quickly I threw the flour at her again. She screamed and looked at me, surprise written clearly on her face, blinking away the flour.

"NICK YOU LITTLE!" she screeched and grabbed more flour to throw at me. She aimed it right at my head and threw with all her might. But the flour only poofed out in front of her, creating a fog cloud around her, disabling her ability to see for a second or two.

Grabbing more flour, I stuffed it in her face and picked her up, she pounded on my back with clenched fists. The cloud of flour around us started to clear and she waved her arms, trying get me to let her go.

"LET ME GO!" she yelled, pounding my back. It felt like a massage so I continud to hold her, carrying her to a special place I had in mind,

"No way amigos!" I chuckled. She braced one arm on my shoulder and halfway turned her upper body, slapping my head. I put an arm on her back, pushing her back down helplessly on my back. She started to kick her legs, trying to aim a kick at my torso.
