.“What?!” I exclaimed. How could Serenity sign me up to be on Catfish when I didn’t request to be on there? I knew that Craig was real, and I didn’t need T.V. show hosts to tell me so. If I needed to know if Craig was real or not, I could figure it out.

“I signed you up for it because we need to know. You sent naked pictures to this guy and you gave him money,” Serenity replied sternly. “It’s for the best.”

“How did you know about that?” I shot back.

“I have my ways. Don’t worry about it. Pack your bags, we’re going to L.A.” Serenity had a huge smile on her face as she walked upstairs into her room. I couldn’t believe her. I couldn’t believe this. The only good thing about this whole thing that’d I be able to see Craig in real life, so he’d be able to prove that he was real. Other than that, I couldn’t see the point.

I followed Serenity upstairs, but instead I went into my room. I sat down on my bed and stroked my hair. Many thoughts ran through my head. What if Craig wasn’t even real? I tried not to let the negative thoughts overtake my mind, but I knew it would be possible.

I opened my small suitcase and stuck random shirts, shoes, and pants in there. I found a small Zip-lock bag and added all my toiletries in it. As far as I was concerned, I was ready to go. I was ready to see Craig’s face, and I was ready for us to make a real life connection.

“Wake up, Triniti. We’re in L.A. Max and Nev are waiting inside,” Serenity shook me hard, whispering. The flight took almost seven hours, and I was dead asleep. We were almost inside the airport building, and my heart was racing. What if Craig was a Catfish? The question kept ringing in my head. I wanted to delete it out already, but it wouldn’t leave. It was all I could think about.

I got up and stood in line with all the other passengers. I stretched my arms and legs out, yawning. My heart was thumping at full speed. I was nervous, and evidently it was noticeable. “Are you OK?” Serenity asks me looking me up and down. I nodded, feeling nauseated—even if the plane wasn’t in motion.

I went inside of the airport, seeing Max and Nev sitting on a bench with their suitcases. This made me more nervous than I ever felt.

“Hey, you be must be Triniti. I’m Nev, and this is my partner, Max.” Nev stuck his hand out, and I shook it slowly. My hand was almost vibrating, and I was shaking.

“H-h-hi.” I stammered, and Serenity greeted them the same. Since my mom couldn’t afford to come to the trip with us, it was only me and Serenity. It was our responsibility to find a place to stay and a way to get back. I guess that’s part of why I was nervous, also.

“Why don’t we get in on our way? The van is outside.” I followed Nev outside of the airport, shaking. I was still extremely, very nervous.

[Serenity’s POV]

Since Triniti was asleep in her room, I went into Max and Nev’s room. We wanted it to be a complete secret that we were searching for Craig and save the information for Triniti tomorrow. It was eleven A.M., and by my research, the usual time ‘Craig’ would get on.

I tip-toed over to Nev and Max’s room, knocking softly. Nev answered the door, but it was dark in their room. “Hey, Serenity. Have you came over to see what’s up with Craig?” I nodded, while I walked into their apartment. I wanted to save my sister ever since she was talking to Craig. When I prove it to her, I’ll be happy.

“We already asked the real Craig if he’d want to video chat with us,” Nev explained. “He agreed. He should be on Skype right now.” My heart raced. We were about to figure out if the real Craig was the person Triniti was talking to.

I saw Prodigy’s face on the screen. It looks like he was very tired. “Hey, Craig. We’re Nev and Max from Catfish. Here’s Serenity, Triniti’s sister.” Craig’s hand waved across the screen.

“Now, like we told you, there’s somebody on the internet to pretending to be you. Triniti, Serenity’s sister, has fell in love with someone pretending to be you,” Max’s voice was stern and serious. After Max said those words, it was so silent and eerie, you couldn’t hear and pen drop. I stared at Prodigy through the screen, and I knew he was extremely shocked. At this time, I felt a wave of sadness go through me. Triniti fell in love with someone that wasn’t even real. I would never be able to know that feeling.

“Wow,” Prodigy managed to get out, choking. He felt bad, I could tell by the look on his face.

“Now, Craig. Can you give us a soundbite or something telling Triniti that she fell in love with the wrong person,” Nev requested, squeezing both of his hands together.

“Well, Triniti, I’m sorry, but the person you fell in love with isn’t me. I hope you find someone in the future that can love you for you, and you can find someone that you can call your own. I’m really sorry, Triniti. I wish you luck, bye.” A single tear rolled down Prodigy’s face, to show that he really cared.

“Thanks so much, Craig. We really appreciate the fact that you agreed to video chat us on the show,” Max said into the camera, frowning. Craig waved goodbye and logged off of his Skype.

“Well, tomorrow is the day we meet the guy pretending to be Craig,” Nev mentioned.

"Yeah, I know. I'm not really ready to mention that to Triniti. I'm scared of her reaction." This was the first thing I had said the entire time of being in Max's and Nev's room. I knew it would break Triniti's hearts in bity pieces if I told her who she love was fake, but it was for the best. It was better than not telling her at all.

"Don't be scared. It's for the best," Nev rubbed my back trying to comfort me, but nothing really worked out. I wanted nothing but the best for my sister, but breaking her heart was something I wouldn't be able to do. It was too much to bare to see her heart being broken right in front of me, and I was the main cause.

I slowly walked out of Nev and Max's room, with my head down. I went next to Trinti and hovered over her. I was pretty sure she knew why I was gone, and I was bracing myself for her questions.

"Well, what did you find out?" Triniti asked, with her eyes still bright. Damn, she must really think we discovered the real Craig. I exhaled deeply and smiled.

"I don't know. We're just going to have to find out tomorrow."
