ANAHI'S POV
"Yes, mom I have water next to me." I gestured to the large water bottle next to me.
"Your laptop incase you get bored?" She asked.
"I got that too." I nodded, resting my hand on my laptop case.
"Fully charged?"
"Got the extension cord and charger right here incase it isn't." I lifted both cables in the air.
"Okay good. What else?" She asked herself, looking around the living room.
"Mom, I'm fine. Go have fun!" I laughed.
"But I feel like you're missing something. Any books, food--?" She began.
"No, mom. I have three books with me and practically the whole fridge on the coffee table." I laughed.
"Okay are the pillows good? Is your foot being bothered?" She asked quickly, grabbing her purse off the couch.
"Yes, mom! Everything is fine! Go have fun!" I pleaded.
"Okay, honey. Kyle will be home at 9 tonight and I'll be home around 11. If you need anything just call me up or call Mrs.Quinn next door." She said quickly.
"Okay, mom. Now please go have fun with your boyfriend on his birthday!" I winked and watched her giggle and leave out the front door. I turned on the tv and watched a couple scary movies then a comedy movie.
As my mind began to wander, a smile grew on my lips. That was Kellin at the party. My heart sped up at the way his lips felt. I can't believe I haven't thought about that night in such a long time.
"Hey, are you busy?" I asked Kellin through my screen.
"No, of course not. We're walking around the park right now on our way to some diner." Kellin responded, pulling his red beanie down.
"Oh okay, so you're good to talk?" I asked.
"Yea. Is everything okay? Are you hurt?" He asked urgently.
"No, no I'm absolutely fine. I just wanted to talk." I smiled lightly. He chuckled and nodded.
"Is that Anna?!" I heard Jesse call out. I laughed at him jumping on Kellin's back and taking his phone away. "Hey, how's the leg?" He asked.
"It's good. I can't walk without the crutches but I'm good, thanks." I giggled.
"Get off man!" Kellin laughed and pushed Jesse off, grabbing his phone back. "Sorry about that." He smiled.
"It's all good." I laughed. We talked for a couple of minutes before I asked, "So uh how was your thanksgiving last year?"
Kellin looked at me confused. "Thanksgiving? That was months ago. I haven't really thought about it in a while." He looked away and started thinking.
"The party! That was eventful wasn't it? I lost you for like four hours." Jesse nudged Kellin while they sat back on the restaurant booth.
"Party?" I asked, feeling my heart speed up.
"Yea, a friend of mine invited me to some party and I dragged Kellin with me since he was still a little heart broken from--." Jesse began but was interrupted by him yelling out in pain. Kellin smiled sweetly and tilted his head lightly to the side.
"Yea we went to a party mid November." He smiled, Jesse reaching down and soothing his leg while giving Kellin a confused look.
"Yea..." Jesse paused, glaring at Kellin. "Kellin here, disappeared into the crowd of strangers for hours and when I found him again he was smiling like an idiot." He explained.
