Chapter 3
Anahi's POV
I pulled my arm away from Kellin quickly hoping he will just leave it. I lowered my head to the floor and felt a stare.
"Let me see." With my head still down I heard Kellin's sweet confronting voice. I swallowed. No one should know that I cut myself. Yup you heard me. I'm a cutter. And I hate to admit it but seriously who would care?
"Its just a little cut. Nothing more." I lied not being able to look him in the eye. f only he knew that's not just a little cut and its not even one. Its really old from when I was 13. I still remember when I made it. A perfect image of my wrist bleeding was locked in my mind forever. I came home from school and a group of popular kids jumped me. They called me names, they pushed me around. I couldn't take it so I just did it. After that I tried to stop but I couldn't stop thinking about it and eventually cut again. That's why I wear cardigans and sweaters and long sleeves. My upper arm is covered in scars.
"Well then let me see." he said reaching for my wrist.
"Guys come on! Whats taking so long!?" we both jumped at Kellin's mother's loud voice. I pulled away and walked away from Kellin.
"Coming!" I yelled. "Just leave it OK? Its not a big deal." I whispered to Kellin. I left before he could say another word.
____________
Diner was over and Kellin and Jennifer were on the way to the door. Mom and I both lead them out as they thanked us for the diner.
"See you tomorrow." Kellin gently squeezed my hand as he walked out. Mom closed the door and she sighed in exhaustion as she threw herself on the couch.
"I'm so tired." she mumbled.
"Good thing we already cleaned up." I said as I slowly sat down on the couch.
"Yes true." she sat up. "So tell me what did you think of our new neighbors?" she faced me
"Um.. they're nice. Like any good neighbors I guess. What about you?" I asked
"I think the same. Very nice. But I wish Kellin would change his look. He looks weird and needs a normal hair cut." she said. I totally disagreed! I think Kellin was perfect!
I nodded not saying a word. "You want to watch a movie or something?" she asked.
"Um sure. Let me just change into something more confrontable. Pick a movie while I'm gone." I said. I had already took a shower before Kellin and his mom came.
"Scary right?"
"Of coarse!" I said cheerfully. Mom giggled. Both of us are total scary movie type! I may not look like someone who likes them but I love them!
When I reached my room I changed into a light pink sweatshirt and matching sweatpants in the restroom. I pulled my hair into a loose pony tail. I walked out after my makeup was off and stopped dead in my tracks. A perfect paper plane was in the middle of my carpet. On one of the wings in pencil said open. I reached down and grabbed the plane. I turned my head and saw that my window was still open. Kellin's window was closed but his curtains where open.
