I'd been up ten thousand times that night, partly with sheer excitement, and then partly with something that scared me. I wanted to work on my routine. I woke up to Denis kissing my neck and jaw. "Mhmm, Denis." I groaned with a smile.
"Good morning, beautiful." I opened my eyes to see his bright sunshiney eyes and small smirk. I pulled him closer and kissed him properly. I worried I was pure morning breath, then remembered that when I got up last time in the middle of the night, I had brushed my teeth because I thought I was staying up.
"Happy birthday baby."
"Thank you." He kissed me again and when neither of us pulled away, he moved so he was half on top of me, and I felt his arm fingertips at my hip, trailing up my stomach slowly to my chest. He grasped my breast softly as he deepened the kiss.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Oh my god," We just lay beside each other, trying to catch our breath. "amazing." I nodded, unable to fathom such pleasure.
"You're so fucking good." I rolled over to face him and he kissed me gently, a smile plastered to his face.
"Happy fucking birthday to me." I laughed slightly. After simply laying in bed looking at each other oh so happily for a few minutes, I moved to the side of the bed. I struggled to stand, but made it. I walked over and picked up one of Denis's shirts on the floor. "Hmm. Walking? Guess I'll have to try harder later." He sighed.
"Do anything harder later and I might die." I laughed.
"You are so perfect." He sat up on his elbows and I felt a smug smile tugging on my lips. I made a silly face at him and he chuckled before I walked out and down the steps. I walked around to my bags, still at the front door, and pulled my phone from my purse, seeing I had many missed calls from Ben. I called him back quickly.
"Where have you been? I called both of you like ten times."
"Um," I blushed. "Busy. And hello to you to. What's up?"
"Denis's birthday. Plans?"
"No idea."
"Well, I do. You can spend the day with him, but come over to ours around eight? We're having a huge party."
"Sounds like a plan." I smiled nervously. I had zero idea of what to do for the rest of the day. ***What do we do? Should we go out? Should we stay in? What does Denis even like to do? We have like a million years.***
"Leda?"
"Sorry." I sighed. "Distracted."
"See you tonight then?"
"Yup, bye." I hung up and sighed again. I walked into the kitchen, the sound of my bare feet on the dark hardwood floors echoing through the huge house. It only had four bedrooms, but seven bathrooms, two living rooms, and a gym in the basement. I searched the cupboards high and low for some mugs, and found them in the last place I looked. I struggled on my toes to reach the second shelf, and pulled down two mugs. A black one and a white one. I turned on the coffee machine and while the water heated up, I looked around for the milk and sugar and spoons. I was curiously excited by finding everything in the knew house. I didn't even want to think about moving all my stuff inside, as it was already full, and already perfect. I had seven full bedroom sets, and for someone that never cooked ever, far far too many random appliances. I made the individual coffees in the Keurig machine, and put an exact amount of milk and sugar in Denis's cup, leaving mine black. I carried the mugs through the house after cleaning up, and into the bedroom where Denis still lied. "Baby," I said. He groaned and rolled over onto his back, sitting up on his elbows again. "coffee?"
