It was 11am. My friends would be here any minute to come pick me up to go shopping. I'm Kaitlyn Miller. I'm eighteen years old and had just got over a relationship about a year ago. But ever since the break up, my ex has gone crazy. His name's Bo. Since I broke up with him, he would force me to be his again. He would try to hurt me but he really isn't that strong. I kicked his ass more than once we'll say. Thankfully, I haven't seen him in a week. My friends Shannon, Kyle, and Andrew finally walked through the door.

"You ready?" Shannon asked.

"Yeah, let's go" I replied.

I've known Shannon, Kyle, and Andrew ever since sixth grade. This has been our little squad since then.

Shannon is like me. Girly and hangs with guys. Except she doesn't like guys but I do except I don't have a crush.

Kyle is like the cool dude. Always wears a leather jacket, he's weird, pretty much like all of us. And pretty much every girl falls for him.

Andrew's a gamer. Plays a lot of video games everyday and posts videos of him playing them on YouTube. He's not big but whatever.

I'm kinda like them all. I play video games, I hang with guys, and I love 5SOS. They're like my favorite band. I have their posters all over my bedroom wall. My friends think I'm crazy for them.

When we got to the mall about ten minutes later, we all decided to go our separate ways. Andrew went to GameStop, Kyle went to American Eagle Outfitters, and Shannon and I went to Bath and Body Works. Shannon and I just got some body lotion, Andrew got BlackOps 3 and Grand Theft Auto 5, and Kyle just got a couple of shirts.

When we were done, we decided to go to Starbucks. While everybody got their drinks, I was still waiting for mine. Just when my coffee was ready, a man in a leather jacket came in. I was about to pay for my drink and then the man said,

"I'll pay."

He smiled at me. I stared into his eyes for a few seconds. They were beautiful blue eyes and all my friends know I love blue eyes.

"Um, thank you?" I said.

He smiled at me again as he payed the cashier.

"I'm Adam" he said politely.

I couldn't help but smile.

"You live around here?" Adam asked.

"Yeah, not to far from here actually." I replied.

"Well here." He said with a smile.

He took out a piece of paper and a pen and started to write something. When he was done, he folded the paper and gave it to me.

"Hope to hear from you soon." He said smiling and he walked out.

Did he just give me his number? I unfolded it and there it was. Adam's number. I put it in my pocket, took my drink, and sat with my friends. Thinking about Adam.
