The sun was slowly rising, Emma was drifting away in sleep and Killian watched her eyes battle to stay open. "Emma, love, I think you need to lay down for a while. I don't want your wounds to open." He said softly shrugging his shoulder to wake up the princess. "No...no I'm okay. It's okay, I am fine." Emma's head slipped into the crook of his neck. Killian tried to wake her again but in the end he just picked her up and laid her on his bed. He smiled at the site of her at peace and calm.
Emma awoke to see Killian sleeping on a chair next to her. She tried to stretch but instead yelled in pain, waking Killian. Emma had forgotten about her glass wounds. She clutched her midway and held back tears.
"What's wrong love? What happened?" He jumped up next to her.
Emma said nothing but held out her blood soaked hands. Her stitches opened up releasing more blood. Killian quickly gathered up supplies to help but she just held her hand out to him telling him to stop.
"I can fix it." She groaned.
"No, love, you are too weak at the moment."
"I can fix it," she focused on fixing the wound her hand glowed for a second but then it went away.
"Swan-"
"Don't! I can do this!" She tried again but nothing.
"Emma! I am going to help you! Let me help you!" he had enough of her stubbornness. Her cuts were deep and getting worse. Killian had his hand under her chin, forcing her to look at him. Something rushed through Emma and her stomach glowed for a second. She lifted her blood stained shirt and the wounds were closed but the scars remained.
Emma smiled confidently towards Killian, "I told you I could do it."
"With my help," He sat next to her.
"How do you figure?"
"Your magic comes from emotion, feelings. Feelings for me." Killian whispered in her ear.
"Don't get so cocky, cap'n" she nudged him, "you can't be sure that those 'feelings' are for you."
"Oh, Swan, I am sure." He smirked, "I think I should let you get some more rest. That magic could have drained your energy." Hook stood from the bed.
"Sir we've docked." William came barging in the quarters, "Miss Emma nice to see you awake." He smiled at Emma. Killian felt jealous again but he realized that he didn't own her... yet. Emma smiled back and nodded, "It's nice to be a wake." They both slightly laughed, and that made Hook angry jealous. Shrugging it off was hard since Will and Emma kept smiling at each other.
Emma saw his face and ended the silence, "Where did we dock?" Will was about to answer but Hook did. "Get dressed, and then come up to the deck. You'll find out soon enough, love." Before Emma could force words out of her mouth, Killian had pushed Will out of the door and left himself.
Emma smiled at his recent jealousy and stood up to barely any pain. She stood in the full length mirror, poofing on pirate wear similar to the one before. When she decided on the outfit, she fixed her makeup and pulled her hair into a loose pony tail.
Hook stood near the door of his quarters, glaring secretly at Will. Did he like her? Does she like him? Most likely, yes. Emma Swan is too refined and polite to be with someone like me, Killian thought. He was snapped out of his trance due to Emma's voice. "Killian," she waved her hand in his face, "Killian, did you hear me?" Hook looked Emma up and down smirking but not making any of his usual innuendos, "Sorry, Swan, What were you saying?"
"Where did we dock?" she asked looking around.
He walked next to her on deck, "They call it The Kingdom of the Sun, Corona."
Emma smiled knowing her parents weren't in alliance with them, although she had visited them before. "Rapunzel," she mumbled, well more like whispered under her breath. "What was that, love?" he turned to her stopping their walk.
"Uh I said Rapunzel; she is princess of this land. Last time I heard she was betrothed to...to..."
"Flynn Rider," He finished.
"How did you know that?"
"I offered him a spot in my crew many years ago. He was the best thief in this realm. That was until her met Her Majesty Rapunzel. I know them and their story quite well." He stepped to the side of the ship. Emma followed surprised of his addressing of the princess.
"And he declined?"
"Aye. He gave up that life long ago. It is a shame his talents went to waste." He chuckled.
"Are you still in contact with him?"
"Indeed, that's why we are here: provisions."
"Well let's go then!" Emma was excited to leave the ship even if it was for a day. She pulled him by her hand off the ship. Killian couldn't help but smile as she did so.
By the time the neared the castle she still hadn't released him from her grasp. Hand in hand they went to the front gates. Instantly a white horse approached them. Emma wasn't surprised but Hook was a bit astounded.
"A palace horse? Where is his rider? The guards?" Killian asked.
"This is Maximus, he is the guard," Emma turned to Max, "Hey, Max how are you doing?" Emma had put both hands to Max stroking his mane and he neighed happily remembering Emma. Killian couldn't seem to shake off his jealousy from the attention Emma was showing this horse.
"This horse, this Max, is head of the guard in Corona? That low in service?" Killian chuckled. Emma playfully glared at him and Max did too, only not as playful.
"He's fine, Maximus...maybe." Emma whispered the last part to the horse but Killian overheard.
"Max! Max, where did you go?" A man's voice was heard from behind the slightly open gate. The man appeared before Killian and Emma with Max. He looked a lot like Killian, they could be brothers even.
The man appeared behind the gates,
"Max, there you....Hook?"
