Emma paced back and forth in her room trying to think of a way to apologize. Killian thought they were getting close, Emma did too, but she pushed him away. Even worse it was a for a stupud reason!
She quit pacing and found the kitchen. Eugene was sitting at a small table eating an apple.
"Good morning, Emma," he said as soon as he noticed her presence.
"Morning," she smiled, "have you seen Ho- Killian?" There it is again, his name is Killian. You call him Killian...if he ever spoke to you again, Emma mentally scolder herself.
"Yes, this earlier this morning he said he was going to wake you."
"Yeah he dis, but now I...I can't find him," Emma frowned remembering there small fight.
"Oh, well I have an idea of where you could start looking," Eugene pulled out his smolder.
At the Snuggly Duckling....
"It sounds like you're in love," a sober-ish man pointed out. By then numerous drunk men and some women gathered around Killian to hear his story of love and loss.
"Maybe mate, but she, I fear, doesn't feel the same." Killian said taking another sip of rum. Surprisingly he had only downed 2 or 3 glasses of rum. Talking about Emma was a good way of stayin sober, apparently.
"Well if she can't appreciate you, I know someone who will," a beautiful brunette sat herself right beside Killian, moving the old diaper wearing man. She bit her lip and rubbed her hand down his arm to his knee. Most men scattered, others stopped paying attention.
"And I appreciate you gesture, lass, but I'm in no mood for your kind of company." Killian tried to sound as polite as he could towards the woman throwing herself at him.
"Oh, come on, Captain. Let's go have some fun," she whispered in his ear. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the woman Killian described; Blonde, beautiful, green emerald eyes with a look of wonder and excitement in them.
She was looking directly at them. Killian was calling over for the bill and the woman put both hands on either sides of his face. Killian knew what she was about to do, and he didn't like it. Before their lips count meet, he pulled away.
"I believe I denied your wishes, now please leave me be," he said.
The bar doors cloosed quickly and he saw a blonde walk away throught the window, Swan? He thought.
Killian quickly paid the server and ran after the woman he believed to be Emma.
It didn't take him long to catch up to her. She was walking away but he shouted for her attention, "Swan! Swan!"
No response.
He cought up and stood infront of her. "Swan, could you just...wait?" Killian doubled over catching his breathe. He looked up at Emma. She didn't dare look hin in his eyes. Emma knew they would be to captivating and she would forget what she thought she really wanted.
"For what?" Her voice was calm.
"I don't know what you saw in there but what you think was about happen, it didn't." Killian was still breathing heavy but speaking fast.
"I know what I saw," Emma simply responded.
"Swan, I didn't kiss her...Emma you have to believe me. I didn't."
"I know," she still refused to look at him.
"She tried to kiss me but I...you know?" Killian was way passed confused.
"Yes, I know exactly what happened. I saw the look in her eye." Emma stepped around him towards the castle. He walked next to her.
"So why do you still seem angry?"
She stopped in her tracks, now she was mad.
"Because it's you! It's what you do! You're a-"
"A pirate, aye that I am. We established that on my occasions," he interrupted getting a little irritated, "What's you point?"
"My point is whenever you argue with me or with anyone else for that matter, your first thought is...is rum!" She was full on yelling now, "Maybe next time you won't be sober enough to realize you actions, rum isn't the solution to everything!"
"Well, it never hurts," he chuckled.
"You know what Killian?" She walked around him again.
"Oh so it's Killian now, I thought I was Hook to you!" He actually yelled back, "What are you really upset about Emma?!"
She immediately turned around, "You almost kissed someone else!" The second the words cane out of her mouth, the two idiots yelling in the middle of the woods were dumbfounded.
She turned back around and kept walking. One of these days, I'm going to stop chasing this woman, Killian thought as he followed.
"So you were jealous?" Killian smirked.
"Of course not! Why would I be?"
"Like I said, you have feelings for me...you care for me," he inched hoping she would admitted it.
"Why would you think that?"
"After that scene and hearing your words, it was quite obvious of your feelings. I can read you quite well." Emma stopped walking but Killian didn't stop or look back.
"Wait a minute, captain! What makes you think you know me so damn well!" Her yelling made him stopping walking and turn towards her.
Emma had stopped right in front of a large tree and Killian thought it was perfect.
"I'm quite perceptive and you're something of an open book." With each word he stepped closer to her. Emma backed up a step.
"Am I?" Her heart was beating so fast, she thought Killian could hear it.
Killian stepped close enought to invade her personal space, Emma backed up more until he had pinned her to the tree.
"Aye, you are. You've never been in love because you never had the chance-"
"That's not perception, I told you that," Emma voice was shaking now.
"Yes but you met someone before. Someone who you thought was your true love, even without the adventure. Let me guess...you pushed him away before he could hurt you because you weren't open to love?" He was right, "hmm?"
"No, that's not it at all," She protested.
He leaned in closer to her face, "Really, love because it seems to me that its exactly what happened. Or would you care to enlighten me on you past?"
"I have no past," Emma's knees were week.
Killian leaned in to her ear and his scruff tickled her cheek then her neck.
"Tell me something, love," he whispered, "Are you open to it now?"
"Open to wh-what?"
"Love..." his voice was low and seductive. He was enticing. Killian wanted kiss her right then and there. No one was around. The village was down a hill and across the bridge, he could and no one would know.
"Are you?" Emma retorted with a soft tone.
He was shocked and excited at her indirect answer. Maybe he still had a chance, maybe he still had hope. But that was all he needed. Killian began to plant kisses on her neck, up her jaw and before she could say anything, his lips were on hers.
