Today marks 9 years since Plagg had passed on. Marinette and Adrien were now 24 years old and were awaiting their wedding day. Adrien had proposed to his Marinette on the day of their anniversary. The day they had both discovered their secret identities. Today though was never a happy day. It was the day Adrien not only lost Plagg but Chat Noir as well. It was not an easy day for Tikki either. She had lost someone she had secretly loved and became the only living Kwami. As Adrien, Marinette and Tikki laid wildflowers on the stone Plagg was cremated on, they all had a moment of silence. Marinette leaned her head on Adrien's shoulder as he wrapped his arm around her. One by one the sky began to join in with their falling tears.

Adrien didn't talk as they walked home however he refused to let go of Marinette's hand. They walked into their apartment and immediately Tikki flew out of Marinette's bag and onto the windowsill where a little bed was placed which defined it as Tikki's personal area. Marinette looked at Adrien his eyes cast downwards but his hand still firmly grasped in hers. She let go and wrapped her arms around his neck, his moving around her waist. "This day never gets any easier." Adrien whispered to Marinette. "I know." Marinette whispered back. Adrien hugged her tighter. "I love you Marinette." This was something Adrien told her everyday, but today it seemed like he was desperate for her to know this. "I love you too, Adrien."

Today was the day before the wedding of Marinette and Adrien. Adrien and Marinette were sitting side by side on a park bench. In a few hours this area would be the setting for their wedding. Marinette was leaning her head on Adrien's shoulder, while he leaned his head on her head. Suddenly a beeping sound was coming from Marinette's earrings and Adrien's ring was glowing. They both looked at each other and tried to get out of sight. They both took off for the secret garden as it was the closest private place. Marinette took off her earrings and Adrien took off his ring and laid them on the stones. "What's happening Tikki?" Tikki observed the miraculous' just as her eyes widened. "Step back!" She exclaimed. Both Adrien and Marinette distanced themselves from the objects. Just then a huge glowing light emerged from both Miraculous' joining into one tall beam. Suddenly a small shadow appeared in the light and slowly floated the the ground. The light faded and the shadow was left on the ground. Adrien and Marinette looked at each other before cautiously heading over to the shadow.

A moan came from the shadow as they neared it. They crouched down and  peered at it. Marinette glanced at Adrien who looked in deep thought. He put his arm down and put a hand on the creature turning it around. Now they could see its face. Marinette put a shaky hand over her mouth while Adrien stared in shock, his hand hadn't moved from where he had turned him over. Tikki had tears in her eyes as she moved towards him and lowered herself onto the ground. She leaned her head down onto his chest. Her face turned into a smile as she cried some more hugging the creature. Adrien was still in shock. He just stared at the creature as it started to stir. Marinette had tears in her eyes as she kneeled down and picked up the creature in her cupped hands, Tikki still clinging to him. Adrien sat down facing toward Marinette however still staring at the same spot the creature was once in. "Adrien" Marinette said. He turned his head toward her. His eyes full of tears refusing to spill. Marinette gave him a gentle smile looking down at the creature in her hand. His green eyes finally opened and looked toward Tikki who was still holding his hand. "Didn't I tell you, you couldn't get rid of me that easily." He whispered to Tikki so only she could hear. Her eyes filled with tears once again as she hugged him tight. He slowly wrapped his arms around her and glanced up at Adrien who was still in shock. "...Plagg?... Is that you?" Adrien managed to say. To Plagg Adrien had gotten taller and looked much older, but he could tell it was the same old Adrien. Plagg let go of Tikki and gave her a smile.

He floated over to Adrien. "Cats have 9 lives you should know that better than anyone." He said with a laugh. "But... How come it's taken you 9 years!?" Adrien was getting frustrated. "Oh come on Adrien i'm sure you can figure that one out!" Adrien stared at Plagg. "No? Fine! 9 lives=9 Years bro." Adrien smiled and hugged his little buddy tight. He couldn't believe he was really here. All those years without him had made Adrien truly appreciate his friend, he was never going to let him go again. "Wow you missed me that much." "Shut up Plagg." Adrien said with a smile and tears running down his face. Marinette watched on with a happy smile joined by the tears on her face. Plagg glanced up at Marinette. "I hope you looked after my cheese provider!" Plagg said hovering in front of Marinette's face. Marinette nodded and laughed. "Glad to have you back Plagg." She said scratching his head to his delight.

It was the day of their wedding. Adrien was happier than he had been for a long time. He was about to marry his Ladybug and his little buddy was no longer dead. Adrien waited patiently at the end of the aisle in the park with his best man Nino behind him along with his cousin. Nino gave him a thumbs up and grin while Adrien smiled. He glanced down at his blazer's pocket and could see the top of Plagg's head peaking out to watch the food being delivered. Suddenly a piano sounded and the Bride's Maid's in their black dresses, red heels and red rose bouquets began to make their way down the aisle as well as the flower girl and the ring bearer. Then like a vision his Ladybug appeared. Her dress was so stunning no words could describe it. Her hair curled down her back, and her veil framed her face. But nothing could compare to her impeccable beauty and her smile made him melt. She had never looked more beautiful.

Marinette saw her future husband standing there. The sunlight dancing on his perfect blonde hair and his handsome tux bringing out his impeccable features and his smile could light up even the darkest of rooms. The wedding went off without a hitch. They exchanged their vows and rings. Hers had a cat symbol on it with the words 'forever' engraved on it while his had a ladybug symbol on it with the words eternity engraved. They never once took their eyes off each other. Why would they? Everything was right in front of them. "You may kiss the Bride." They didn't hesitate. Adrien wrapped his arms around Marinette and kissed her. Everyone was cheering but neither one heard them for they were lost within each other even as they separated and stared into each other's eyes before heading down the aisle to celebrate with their family and friends. The Miraculous Ladybug and the Notorious Chat Noir had finally become one. The keychain that brought them together sat on display in front of their cake. No one else knew of it's significance except for them. Their own little secret.

The End.
