Rylee's P.O.V.
The rest of the week goes by in a flash. It consists of Andrew and I finally deciding on a movie so we can actually get to the real work of our project. The movie we chose to do was my movie: Forrest Gump. It took a lot of convincing and pleas showing him the scene I wanted to do and he actually liked the scene and decided we should do that. I tease him the whole time about it and he glares at me.
He tells me that he knows the perfect person who would love to do this unless I wanted to be in the movie.
"We should both be in the movie?" I suggest. I don't usually like the spotlight but this is my favorite scene in Forrest Gump. We are choosing the one scene when Jenny comes back to Forrest and stays with him. We are going to do a series of takes of them being together and showing their love from when they were children to now.
"Who would film?" He abruptly stops in the middle of the grassy area across from campus.
I stand in front of him. "We can use a stand sometimes and let someone else film it."
"But who would do that? We are directors not actors." He tries to prove his point.
I nod at his point. "True. But the most famous directors acted in some of their films they produced. If they can do it, so can we." I cross my arms over my chest.
"But... I-I." He puts his head down in defeat as he fumbles with his words.
"Exactly. If we want to be directors then we can expand our horizons and act a little bit. See how it is on the other side." I tell him.
"I-I don't k-know who we would find last minute." He says through shaky hands.
I place my hands over his moving ones and look into his deep caramel orbs. His head lifts up to look into mine. I can hear his breath is ragged with nerves. I squeeze his hand tightly and move a few inches closer to him. "Don't be nervous, we don't have to do this if you don't want to." I never seen him this nervous and especially at a loss for words.
"Me? Nervous? No. I'm just worrying that we will not find anyone in---" His words are cut off by me moving closer to him, enough that we are chest to chest. I look up at his tall figure and his eyes search my eyes.
I put on a small devious smile. "Look who is speechless now."
He gasps at me then covers it in a small smile.
I grab his other hand and he looks down at me while I do these movements. "Whenever I touch you, you seem at a loss for words." I smirk at the same thing he told me before.
He smirks as well. "Well played." He moves out of my grasp and grasps my waist. "I'll admit, you surprised me." He makes the most beautiful sound come out his mouth.
I smile adoringly at him. What is happening? I'm probably looking like a major creep just staring at him. I clear my throat. "Maybe we should--," I point to the direction where the trees are so we can lay there and figure out how we are going to do this.
Andrew blinks out of the trance. "Right. Ladies first." He scratches the back of his neck and motions me towards the way where we are going to sit. We set our bags down and sit on the pointy but soft needles of the grass.
We sit there just watching everything else pass us by instead of looking at each other. Great way to make it awkward, Rylee. I hug my knees to my chest. I feel him tap my hand so I swish my head around to face Andrew waving at me. "Hey." He says warmly.
"Hey." I give him a warm smile in return.
"Maybe, hey can be our Okay." He smirks.
I hit him on his arm and laugh. "Ugh. You're annoying." I roll my eyes. He did not just quote Fault in our Stars.
