Rylee's P.O.V.
My toes curl up and a slap sounds off throughout the room. I shake my head. Patricia always thinks she can get her way.
"Where is the cake that I ordered!?!?!?!" Patricia is pacing back and forth throughout the ballroom where her wedding will be held. She is in sweats and a simple T-shirt, examining the place in disgust. "And these flowers." She faces her wedding planner. "Are not the color I wanted! I specifically asked for YELLOW FLOWERS! NOT PURPLE FLOWERS!" She screams throughout the room.
I roll my eyes. You know that her wedding planner be talking so much mess about her. I chuckle at the thought. Nothing is ever perfect for her. She always wants attention how is she going to have the wedding with the others.
I was sitting on my bed watching reruns of "Four Weddings" on TV as I munch on some Lays chips. Whenever I'm bored I watch engagement or wedding shows or some type of romance. That's what makes me happy, that's what gives me hope. I glare at Patricia at how lucky she has it. She has a wonderful soon to be husband and the way she acts around others is ridiculous. She doesn't appreciate anything and she even tries to change her soon to be husband. I shove some chips into my mouth.
I pout. I can only keep hoping. It's Tuesday and I have no classes today but Kat does, one class in the afternoon which is right now and one late tonight that starts at 7:00pm. She might be hanging out with her other friends today, not sure but today will just be me and my pillow. I snuggled close to my pillow and continued watching the program. I hear a buzzing on the side of me and I ignore it because I need to watch this, it's just getting interesting. The buzzing is continuous and I sigh and look at the screen to see that Melody is calling me. I widen my eyes. I didn't hear from her since we went to Palazzo.
"Hey, girl." I chuckle with happiness when I pick up the phone to answer her call. I feel like it's been mad long since we talked last.
"Boo! Guess where I'm at right now!?" She says excitedly.
I try to think about it. "I don't know, tell me?" Today was not a thinking day.
"I'm in Columbia!"
"Wait, Columbia as in the Columbia Mall in Maryland!?" I hastily ask her.
"Yes! I don't have school for a week so I thought I might as well visit my girls!" She screams into the phone with happiness.
I squealed. I'm so happy she's here. And I'm actually not doing anything today for once in my life. "Yay! Okay, lets do it. I'll meet you right now."
"Cool. Make it as soon as you can and bring Kat." She tells me.
"Kat can't today, she will be in and out of classes today." I pout to myself.
She groans. "That sucks but it's okay we have all week to hang." She says happily.
She tells me to meet her at Starbucks so we can grab something to drink and do whatever next. We say our goodbyes and I start getting dressed. I plop off my bed and see from a distance what I'm going to wear.
I walk towards the open white closet doors and I spot my favorite black leggings that shows off my curves perfectly and a red long-sleeved shirt and to match I have my favorite red vans. When I finish putting on the clothes I picked out I go into the bathroom and examine my hair. It is a puffy wavy mess. Too much to handle today and I actually want to wear it out so I plug in my black straighter and once it's hot from top to bottom I glide it across one piece as it untangles the waves for me. I do it for the rest of my hair and when I'm done I look at the mirror satisfied with how I looked today. I smile, my freckles radiating my entire face and my chocolate brown eyes hiding behind my black POLO frames. I take a deep breath and look at the clock next to my bed from the bathroom door. It's 1:37. I look back in the mirror and nod my head from side to side as my hands glide down the ends of my straightened brown hair. I smooth my lips together and they feel really dry for some reason. I rush into my room and go into the wooden mini drawer beside my bed and look for some clear gloss. I grab the plastic tube and rush back to the bathroom and face the mirror. I smear some on and rub my lips together. I nod my head and get ready to go.
