Visit From The Past

Caleb~

I watches as my mate was fixing the blank over her legs and feet for the movie with the pack. I chuckled when she got frustrated that her arms were too short to reach. When I looked around, not all the pack members were here, but most of the ones that were, were watching Kat with amusement.

"Babe?" I asked, making her lift her head and freeze when she noticed most people staring. Her tan cheeks turned a soft shade of pink and she got up and walked off. I frowned, she didn't even answer me, and now I could sense her emotions. It wasn't me frowning, but her.

"One moment please." I nodded my head softly, my shaggy golden honey brown hair shaking softly. I needed a haircut soon. As I walked up the stairs to mine and my mate's room, she was sitting at the bottom of the bed. Her phone was on the ground as she was frozen.

I couldn't feel her emotions nor hear her thoughts so I picked up her phone. No one, but my wolf instantly took control when he smelt it. An old yet familiar scent. Wait a minute, th-that couldn't be.. His scent could it? No, it was newer, yet seemed so familiar.

"Baby!? What happened?" I asked, kneeling in front of her to noticed her hazel eyes were tear filled and her cheeks stained with the fallen ones. "Babe!!" I screamed softly just trying to get her attention but she flinched and whimpered. I stood up, hurt evident in my emotions but I gave her her space.

"No, Caleb please..." Kat suddenly said. "Don't leave me here alone!" She screamed as I ran outside, shifting into my big black wolf before running fast away. "Caleb!! Please!! I need your he-!" But I cut her off. More pack members were trying to get in to my connection but the only one who would be able to was an alpha, or ex alpha, so someone like my father.

I kept running faster and faster until it started raining and I began to trot back. After a good thirty minutes, I shifted back and put on some shorts at the tree lines. As I started to walk towards the pack house I felt fear over run me as everyone was huddled around the house, some shifting and running deep in the woods fast, most of them trackers and warriors.

Where was everyone going without my permission? Why did they seem to be on a search hunt? As I walked up into the middle of the crowd there was a member passed out on the ground and I felt my wolf take over again. "Who's all hurt?!! Is anyone missing!?" And everyone grew silent in my alpha tone.

Kat's mother walked up to me and as I thought she was about to speak, she slapped me hard for a female, making my cheek sting. I growled and so did my beta and omega. "The fuck was that for!!?" I screamed. "You ass!"

"You ass!" I screamed. This was Caleb's fault. She told him not to leave her alone and he ran off because he was butt-hurt. Suddenly I was grabbed by the throat and my husband soon grabbed Caleb's, doing some military move until Caleb wasn't touching me anymore. Soon after the beta and omega shifted and was circling my husband, but he stood tall being an ex alpha. "Down men!" Caleb screamed at I glared.

"Where is my mate? I can't smell her and I need her to calm down?" He said. My eyes watered and everyone grew silent to weep. "She told you not to leave her alone caleb, and you ran away. Kat's been taken again. They know she is pregnant and they're threatening the life of he- your pips lives if anyone comes after them."

I saw anger then hurt then regret run through Caleb's eyes. He couldn't believe what had just happened. If he had just stayed none of this would have happened. She had begged him. I signed as I walked towards him, earning growls but I hugged him as he began to cry softly at the missing position of his mate.

"Its not your fault, you wouldn't have known it was to happened. Something's just happen I guess, but we will get her back, I promise."
