"Eren. Eren! Wake up!!"
Levi shook me and I jolted awake, slightly panicked.
"what?! who died?!"
he rolled his eyes, "half of the human population. Get up"
I winced at the first part, "o-okay"
"go take a shower. we're already late"
I whined and went to the bathroom.
"you'll be fine, brat"
I whined some more and turned the shower on and got in, "I don't wanna do anything today"
He walked in and came over to the showerm
"My day off isn't for another 3 days. You can relax then"
I whined louder and pretended to cry.
"Eren don't cry. Maybe tonight I'll give you what you wanted. If you're good"
I perked up, and giggled
"Okay. I'll be extra super good today"
"That was adorable"
He pulled the curtain back slightly and kissed me quickly.
"Meet me outside when you're done"
"Mmmm okay".
He walked out and i quickly washed myself before getting out. I dried off and started getting dressed. I pulled my pants on and struggled because my legs were still damp. Then i worked on my shirt and straps. The straps honestly took me 5 minutes to do... That's a new personal record.... But whatever. I was putting on my boots and hopping on one foot to try to get them on. I fell on the floor and cursed under my breath.
Eld walked in,
"What was that noise? Are you okay?"
He chuckled at the sight of me on the floor.
"Yeah i just tripped over my boots. I'm fine"
"Well I'd trip over my boots too if they were on the wrong feet"
I looked down and mentally slapped myself.
"Oh... Heh... I was in a hurry"
I took them off and switched them.
"Why?"
"Levi told me that I was late. So i panicked".
"You're not late..... Oh.. Well to his standards, you are".
I froze,
"Ooooohhhh"
"You're fine. Take your time"
"Well I'm already done so I'll just go meet him"
"Hurry before he leaves"
I scoot past Eld and ran downstairs to meet Levi.
"About time, Jaeger"
"Sorry"
"It's fine. Tend to the garden"
"Yes sir"
I walked off to the garden and started pulling weeds.
"Eld! You're in charge! Mike and I are leaving!"
I kept pulling weeds and struggled with one of them. I pulled on it hard and fell backwards when it came out of the ground.
"Jaeger! Behave while I'm gone!"
"Y-Yes sir!"
He rode off with Mike and I sighed.
"Sad?"
I looked up at Petra.
"Huh? Oh, no just not a fan of garden duty"
"Why? The dirt?"
"No. I'm not used to making things look nice, I guess. That sounds stupid"
I continued to pull weeds and she laughed quietly.
"Well presentation is everything with Levi"
"Yeah i guess"
"So you know that Mike is the new commander, right?"
"No i didn't. I always thought Levi would move up if something happened to Erwin. But i guess that's out of the question after what happened"
I shifted uncomfortably
"Yeah. He was supposed to become commander, bit Hanji voted Mike in"
"Oh.... I uh... Didn't think Hanni would do that"
"Nobody else was brave enough to go against Levi"
"Yeah"
She ruffled my hair,
"You're so down when you're not with your friends".
"Am I?"
"Yep. How about I make you a deal?"
"Uhh.... Okay"
"You seem to know how to drive Heichou completely out of his mind horny for you. Show me how to do that with Eld and I'll get you an entire day with Ackerman and Arlert"
My eyes widened at her offer.
"Really? You got a deal".
We shook hands and she smiled.
"Okay so how do you do it?"
"You gotta be a little sassy sith him. You know, like little sassy remarks and comebacks. And then act all innocent. And at the same time, you're slowly seducing him. It drives Levi wild"
She put her finger on her chin,
Makes sense... Ok tomorrow wake up before Heichou. I'll keep him busy all day and Gunther will do all your chores. Maybe you'll even get a reward for getting it done without asking"
She winked at me and I thanked her multiple times.
"You're welcome. Finish up. I'm gonna go try out what you told me"
She went off to talk to Eld and she was soon dragged inside. I smirked and shook my head as i continued to pull more weeds. A few minutes passed and I heard a titan scream coming from the distance. I got up,
"Shit not now"
Eld ran out with his shirt partly undone.
"Calm down. They can handle it"
I smirked at him,
"So did anything interesting happen?"
"Humph not yet"
A black flare was fired and i looked up.
"Shit.... Are we gonna do this or what?"
"No they can handle it"
"But if they used a flare, then they must need help"
He gritted his teeth,
"Fine. Gunther! Oluo! Head out!"
They rode off on their horses and i watched them leave.
"Okay... What now?"
"Now we wait. They're the best we can do right now"
"O-Okay"
I started to bite my nails.
"Stop that"
"What?"
"Biting your nails. It's a nasty habit"
"Oh... Okay"
"They'll be fine".
Suddenly, Mike came up and he as holding Levi.
"Take him"
I ran up and took Levi off the horse.
"I can fucking fight! Don't tell me that i can't fight!"
"Sorry Levi"
Mike informed us that the titan's nape was not able to be penetrated because it had some sort of armor on it and that Levi had broken all of his blades while trying to kill it. He then told Levi that he wasn't allowed to fight.
"Fuck you! I'm older than all of you! I can fucking fight! Put me down, you little shit!"
"I'm sorry Levi, but I agree with Mike. You're done"
Mike looked at me,
"Take him inside. And you two come with me. We need to try to capture this thing and take it to Hanji".
"Yes Danchou!"
They all rode off on their horses and I went inside with Levi thrown over my shoulder. He started punching my back and screaming about how he could fight.
"Levi stop it"
"I can fight Iz! I can fucking fight!"
"Levi! Stop!"
I got to his room and put him down. He was in tears.
"Isabel.... Farlan... I could have done it by myself. Why didn't you let me fight for all of us?"
"Levi..."
I put my hands on his shoulders and he shoved me away, causing me to fall.
"L-Levi?"
