Charlie's POV
I went to work the next day for a few hours and then came home since I had other stuff to do. I cleaned my house and did my laundry and I was about to make breakfast when I thought now would be a good time to Skype my brother, Finn. I turned on my laptop and found he was online. I called him and he quickly answered. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw his goofy grin, warm brown eyes and dark hair. Finn was thirty, I was twenty eight and Jace was thirty two.
"Charlie! How's my favourite sister?" he asked with a grin.
"Great! I'm doing great. How's my goofy brother?" I asked.
"Goofy as ever. Actually, I have a certain son that wants to see his aunt," Finn chuckled, picking up his son, Noah.
"Auntie Charlie!" he exclaimed. I couldn't help but giggle at his excitement.
"Noah! How are you?" I asked.
"Great! I've lost my bear thought," he frowned.
"Well, what are you talking to me then? Go find bear," I laughed as the two year old jumped from his father's knee and ran off. I couldn't help but laugh, hoping someday I would have my own kids.
"How's Sydney?" he asked.
"Great. I'm a lifeguard at Bondi and I love it. I'm seeing Mum tonight but I have something to tell you," I murmured.
"You and David are pregnant?" he asked.
"No, Finn. I ran away from David. He was emotionally and mentally abusing me and he's not supposed to know where I am. He's trying to find me and because I didn't tell you sooner about what happened, he knows I'm in Sydney," I explained. The colour drained from Finn's face and then he turned red.
"I'm sorry I told him, I thought you guys were still a couple. I swear, I'm going to kill him for hurting you," Finn growled. I sighed and ran a hand through my dark hair.
"You have my permission to, Finny. I'll have Dad fill you in on everything because he helped me get out," I explained.
"So, how's life now? I heard you got all of Nana's stuff done," Finn stated.
"Well, I have a new man in my life, Finn. He's the reason I'm happy right now and the reason Nana's stuff isn't still in her bedroom. He helped me get everything to the Salvation Army and is a lot better than David ever was," I smiled.
"Well, I'm glad he makes you happy. What's his name?" he asked.
"Well, I work with him. His name is Ryan but we all call him Whippet," I explained.
"I'll have to meet him sometime. Do you want me to tell Dad or Jace?" he asked.
"I'll tell them myself, tell your wife if you want. I'm sure I'll get a phone call from Carly about this," I giggled. Carly was Finn's wife and she was awesome. At times she was more life a sister than a sister in law.
"Ok, well I've got some news. Carly and I are pregnant again," Finn grinned. I squealed loudly and started doing a happy dance in my seat.
"Yay! I'm so happy for you guys! Get over here to Sydney so I can hug you!" I laughed.
"Thanks, Charlie. Have you been talking to Jace? He's not coming back until February," he frowned.
"I know. It upsets me a lot. Maybe next Christmas we'll have him. I can't afford to come home this year so I'm going to be working Christmas Day instead," I explained.
"Well, I hope everything works out for you. I have to go, I promised Noah I'd take him to the beach," Finn laughed.
"Well I'll see you later. Love you, Finny!" I exclaimed, blowing him a kiss.
