Charlie's POV
We walked into the little Italian restaurant and ordered our food. We sat and talked about what happened today and caught up. A few of the boys knew about the relationship which meant within a few days, all the boys would know.
"What made you change your mind about keeping it on the down low?" Whippet asked as we ate our food.
"Well, what's the point in hiding it when there's nothing to hide? I also found that I can't let things that happened in the past define my future or hold me back so I decided might as well tell the guys before they figure it out themselves," I stated.
"Fair enough," Whippet shrugged.
"I'm up early tomorrow and it's not even for work. Training has its ups and downs," I sighed.
"Well if you want to beat me, you're going to have to train hard," Whippet smirked.
"Yeah. I've literally got no more bread or rice in my cupboards. I have noodles and only use those once or twice a week. I've literally turned into a rabbit. I just have to stop drinking coffee," I explained.
"You'll get there eventually. You look beautiful tonight," Whippet complimented.
"You look very handsome yourself. I really like that shirt on you," I smiled. The shirt was a button up and had fairly short sleeves but it suited Whippet very well.
"Thank you," Whippet chuckled.
"What are your plans for Christmas?" I asked, realising it was only a few weeks away.
"If I'm not working, I'll head over to Mum and Dad's place. Maybe I'll bring you along if you don't have plans," Whippet smiled.
"Well, Jace was supposed to be back for Christmas and I was heading to Goolwa because of that. I'm probably going to work and then see Jace and the family in February," I explained.
"Well, I'm sure my parents wouldn't mind if I brought you along," he assured me.
"What do you want for Christmas?" I asked.
"I don't know. I need a watch but don't want to spend a fortune," Whippet chuckled. "What about you?"
"I don't know either. I honestly just want my brother home but that's not happening so I don't know," I smiled. I remember when Jace left over two years ago. It was the hardest thing ever, Jace is engaged but he has no kids so he was my goto person when I needed to vent. At the time, he lived in Goolwa as well so it was easy to find him.
"Maybe me and you will go back to Goolwa in February to see him," Whippet stated. We finished eating, paid and walked out of the restaurant.
"Want to go back to my place?" I asked.
"Sure, my car is parked at Bondi so I'll just leave it there for now," Whippet chuckled. We walked back to my apartment and when we got there, we sat on the balcony. Whippet sat on the outdoor couch and I sat with my legs across his lap.
"So how much older are your brothers?" Whippet asked.
"Finn is thirty and Jace is thirty two. Then Mum has two children with her husband and Alexander is fourteen and Bethany is sixteen. I don't talk to my half siblings often though, we're pretty different," I stated. My laptop was sitting on the kitchen table inside and it began to ring. I got up from my seat to see who was trying to Skype me. Jace.
"Whip, it's Jace. Are you ok with me talking to him for a bit because he rarely gets to Skype me," I explained.
"Sure," Whippet smiled. I pressed the answer button and my brother appeared on the screen in uniform. His longish, blond hair was slicked back and his blue eyes looked tired.
