Dinah's Pov
I saw a drastic change in Normani's behavior. She wasn't the sad girl in the corner anymore. She looked happy. She laughed and smiled ...I loved when she smiled .. Her smile made me insecure of me..
"You really gotta stop checking Normani" Lauren said with a smirk on her face.."Excuse me" I snapped back
"You don't think I haven't noticed you look at her the way I use to look at camil- PIZZA" she began to blush of embarrassment "Exactly...I can happily find a way to contact her and tell her all about your crush on her last year" I said with a sneaky smile on my face .Laurens face tensed up "Me and Normani are going to get pizza later..are you in" Lauren tried to change the subject..successfully "Yeah sure what time? " I looked down at my notes. "Probably around 7..I have to pick her up " she stated "okay I will meet you guys there.
Later that day
I let down all of my thick hair, noticing the nice wavy texture I left it , adding a little bit of hair spray to maintain it. I took out a pair of dark blue high-waisted jeans and put on a white crop top .I took another shower and brushed my teeth over again. I had to make sure I looked my best ..Even if it was just to go eat pizza..Normani was going to be there..
I pulled up to the given location and it wasn't fully empty but you can tell it wasn't popular. I walked in and I saw two girls sitting at a booth .One had dark hair and a famous band shirt on..Lauren of course...The other girl girl had perfect chocolate skin and a bright smile.
I knew exactly who she was. I went over and sat next to Lauren. "Hey" I said while running a strand of hair behind my ear. "Hi" Normani said while giving me a warm smile
"Took you long enough....I almost thought Camila was going to show up before you" Normani said looking nervous. "Camila is coming ?" I asked while smiling knowing it would irritate Lauren"yeah she told me I am abandoning her and she really wants pizza " Normani spoke
I looked towards the door to see a smaller teenager walk up to our table."Hey" Camila managed to say while trying to catch her breathe "Did you just run a marathon " Normani laughed "No but I walked over here I thought it wouldn't be this f-far"Camila ran a hand through her hair "I could have freaking drove"Camila mumbled
"Lauren ! ...aren't you going to say hi" I nugged her arm. "Uh..yeah hey Camila"Lauren looked out the window next to her "Hi Lauren" Camila looked down blushing . Normani gave a fake cough while saying "whipped".I couldn't help but laugh
"This pizza is like the best in Mami" Camila held up her slice of pizza. We all began to laugh "OH SHIT I didn't realize how late it was " Lauren stated " we should go ..right?" Normani said .. "No you don't, Dinah can take you home..right Dinah?" Lauren said while giving me a smirk "yeah.. uh sure" I gave Lauren the what the fuck look "Lauren can you drop me off "Camila asked Lauren.. "Sure..let's go" with no hesitation they both left the pizza shop.
"Soooo" Normani broke the silence.. "yeah soo um how was your day?" I asked"It was fun....How about you?" She took a sip of her drink. "Better now that I'm here alone with you...shit I'm sorry I didn't mean it that way . I mean ugh.. yeah.. " I looked down completely embarrassed "awe...that's sweet Dinah Jane"she said with a soft laugh.. I would never forget that laugh I loved it so much.. "Dinah ..you can't keep your head down forever" she began to say ..
"I know but pretty girl with pretty faces make me nervous".I looked up seeing her cheeks get a shade of dark red .."some one is on point with their words tonight" she laughed clapping her hands. "I probably sound like the biggest fuck boy right now" I looked at her "eghh kinda but if you were a quote on quote fuck boy your cheeks won't be so red right now"she smiled at me .
I put my hands on my cheek and smiled."I bet who ever you are with wouldn't be happy your talking to me this way"she started speaking again "well everyone is happy because I don't have anyone " pouting my lip "really..your like crazy beautiful" she said with disbelief
"Thank you..."I stared at her for a few minutes
"But let's go it's getting late" She broke the silence. We both got up.
We were now in my car."Who do you want to listen to" I said while scrolling through my phone "Beyonće duh "she smiled "you like Beyonće" I looked towards her.
"No ..I don't ...I adore her she is basically the reason why I get up...since she is my alarm clock music" she put her seat belt on
"Trust me I know she slays my life" I copied her actions and put on her album .Then I Started the car and drove.When we reached up to Normani's house she began to un buckle her seat belt "thanks for the ride I'll see you on Monday?.."Her eyes met mine and I swore I died and came back "no problem and yeah " I said maintaining the eye contact .. Normani began to open the door "Wait ..Normani"I said grabbing her wrist her skin was soft just as I imagined. Are eyes met again "well what is it Dinah Jane "she smiled lightly " um. Would you like to go to the movies with me tomorrow and probably just hang out after?" I said knowing I had fair in my voice " Is it a date"she asked curiously "only if you want it to be " I smirked "then it's a date...you know I never got your number " she handed me her phone "oh yeah .. I should have asked for that first" I said while entering my number into the phone "you can let go of me now .. .even though I love your hand on me I have to go..I'll text you. Matter of fact text me when you get home " she quickly left
I definitely knew I wasn't sleeping tonight .The dark skinned girl smile and laugh kept taking over my thoughts.. was I really falling for her
An-longer chapter 😘 but please don't get used to it because now I'm extremely tired
