Dinah's Pov
"I'm extremely bored" I mumbled to Ally "Let's have a you and me day" Ally responded. "Okay sure..what are we going to do" I looked at her " we can get lunch , go to the mall ,get our nails done and probably go see a movie" . Ally told me. "Sounds fun" .
We sat down in the restaurant and waited for the waiter. We saw a girl with her ponytail died purple and the rest of her hair black. She walked up to our table. "What would you like" she held out her notepad. "Um... Chicken Alfredo looks really good" I agreed. She took down Are orders and walked away. "How are you Dj" Ally sipped on her drink . "Fine actually.." I smiled "mhmm" she looked me in the eyes . "What" I tried to hide my face. "You're to chill" she stated "what do you mean?" I got confused. "You normally have very blunt responses for everything ...which is good , but now your just chilling" I laughed . "Well okay then.." . Our food came and we began eating .
Normani Pov
"Okay ..Okay..maybe I over reacted but he got my order wrong. I laughed with Alessia while we walked out the coffee shop. "It's just a bagel " she laughed "the bagel was cold..I wanted it toasted. " I quickly defended my self. "wow...what a princess". she lightly hit my shoulder. "what else do you have planned for us" I crossed my arms. "well your aunt said your going to your cousins house and just chill I'm assuming" She laughed. "what, I don't want to go .... I hate those people I'm supposed to call family ...."I grew frustrated. "so descriptive ...why don't you like them" she looked at me. "when I was six they pushed me in the pool , knowing very well I couldn't swim ...They broke my lab top also..." I rolled my eyes thinking of the horrific experiences. "ouch..."Alessia mumbled . "but...this time you should go ...like really" she continued "why I wanna hang out with you..." I sighed. "....please for me" she smiled. "Fine...but i'm not sleeping over there" I opened the door. "I will tell your aunt that" she pulled out her phone "and when I come back ...I want you to be here". I walked towards my suit case and picked out another casual outfit. "okay I will".

I stepped into the familiar house. "MANIIIII!!!!" two teenagers came up to me and gave me hugs. "Hi .." I mumbled . I noticed my aunts sitting talking away. " How's New York Mani" the older woman asked. "cold" i laughed. "but i'm actually having fun so far" I stated. "that's amazing news Mani". They both looked at each other and sighed. "well... you know where the kitchen is right." I nodded my head. "okay go ..." she smiled . I did as I was told. I looked around until my eyes were locked on a woman , her eyes were just like mine, but she was tired. she looked nervous and anxious. I don't think she noticed I was standing their. "H- Hello...." I mumbled . Her head turned quickly and turned back ...she didn't notice it was me. I slowly walked over to the table and sat down. "do you know who I am .." I looked at her ... "yes" she stated and looked up at me. I felt tears filling in my eyes. and I felt a lump begin to form in my throat. "how are you" I asked. "fine" she nodded her head. "That's it" I stated. "what" she looked me in the eyes again. "why..." I said loudly "why what" she snapped back. "Why did you leave me? .. why did you hurt me? why are you continuously hurting me? " I quickly wiped a tear that fell from me eye. "Things aren't that easy Normani" i heard her voice crack. " Things aren't that easy .... you had how many years eighteen? Yeah eighteen ..now exactly tell me whats so hard" I yelled. "I don't know ... " tears began running out her eyes. "do you know how much you put me through..do you know what i'm going through..... , you weren't there! ..... I'm supposed to tell my mother everything..but where exactly were you, probably getting high...but you don't care about me..." i bitterly laughed .
"The last time I saw you... you took everything and I never heard from you again...Why make it seem like everything was going to get better then leave?" I felt tears flowing out my eyes. "out of everything iv'e bin through .. Your the root of every thing "..I got up and looked at her. "one day....I hope you realize..that this would have bin the perfect opportunity to say sorry" I walked straight out the house. I pulled out my phone and called a taxi. "hey ..you okay" I heard a deep voice behind me..."yeah i'm fine tell ..I left" I ran a hand through my hair. "aren't you cold" . I didn't notice I left my jacket inside. "shit..." I mumbled. He handed me my jacket and I quickly put it on. "thanks" I hugged him. "you know Mani ...we are older now and we are family i'm here for you ..." He hugged me tightly. "thanks i'll call you" My taxi pulled up and I waved him good bye. I looked out the window of the car and honestly couldn't wait to get home. My heart felt heavy and I had a massive head ache.
I entered the card in the slot unlocking the door. The tv was on and it was dark. I kicked off my shoes and fell to the ground. I began crying. "Mani" I forgot I told Alessia to stay over. The lights turned on . and she ran right towards me sitting down next to me . " Are you okay" I nodded my head. "why are you crying" she put me on her lap and put her back against the wall. "she didn't even apologize ...she could have said sorry. can't she see how this is killing me...Why does she do this...to me.." I began crying again. "Who" Alessia asked. "My mom" I bearly spoke. "things take time Mani" she rubbed my back. "I'm tired..." I mumbled "but you won't give up" She kissed my forehead. "I would assume you thought that meant i'm sleepy" I wiped my eyes. " I know what you mean by tired.... when your like this" Her words sent chills down my spine. I laid my head on her shoulder.

I entered the house and drooped My keys on the table. I went upstairs and un packed my clothes. I took out My I pad and propped it up. I called Dinah on Facetime. "Hi..." I saw her laying in bed. "Hey babe I'm back" I smiled . "oh you can face time me in Miami but not New York..." She rolled her eyes . " I told you..I'm sorry..." I explained . "saying you we're out isn't good enough Normani" I could clearly see my girlfriend was upset. "Anyways the girls want to go out for dinner tonight ..are you in" she asked . "yeah what time" I checked my phone. " nine... Want me to pick you up?" My girlfriend asked. I saw a message from Alessia. "Um, yeah sure.. What ever." I mumbled "who are you texting " she sounded jealous. "Um...my cousin " I looked at the other screen "I'll see you later Normani ..bye" the girl hung up .
