I ran upstairs to my room , overly excited. Everything in the past two hours were just amazing it felt like when i'm with Dinah i'm safe, like she might actually care about me. Something I didn't feel in a long time...But she doesn't know me.

I can't believe I was smiling so much over one girl. But what if she is saying these things just to be friendly..i don't know anything about her and she doesn't know anything about me. Dinah's Pov
"Oh my God Lauren are you serious you guys don't even know each other" I shook my head in disbelief "their are so many things you don't know." she smirked "okay what ever but that's Normani's best friend.. it doesn't give you permission to have sex with her the first time you meet" I gave her a stern look "We have bin texting for almost a year now..it's about time something happened"Lauren mumbled..."Don't you have a date today?" she continued to speak "um.. yeah how did you know"i looked down and put a strand of hair behind my ear "Camila told me...i heard she is nervous.. Oh and your smooth with your words Dinah" Lauren laughed.."but..Lo what if she doesn't feel for me the same way" i put my hands on my face. Lauren moved closer and put one arm around me "hey...don't worry .... didn't you see the way she kept looking at you.....you guys are my ...um..my otp!!!" she held me a little tighter "see now you have me being all lovey dovey and shit .. don't you have to get ready" we both started laughing
I decided to wear a pair of light blue slightly ripped jeans , with a white top kind of cut at the bottom so i can show some skin. With vans to complete it. I put on my earrings and a few bracelets, I decided to put my hair up in a pony tail. When I was finished I made my way downstairs and told my mom I would be out for the evening. When I got to my car I texted Normani to tell her i'm on my way. I put on some music to calm my nerves , but it wasn't helping ...what if i messed up ..what if she called me "friend"..before I knew it I was at her house and she was entering my car..."Hey"Normani said while she was putting her seat belt on. "Hey , how are you?" I asked while starting to drive "I'm fine ..How are you?"She asked nervously "I'm alright, are you ready for the movie" I focused my eyes on the road "it depends , on what we are going" "well were going to see sinister two " i smirked "Are you crazy!" i can tell she was getting scared by me just saying it. We walked into the theater and i bought the tickets. I also bought some snacks , I let her pick out anything her heart desires. She attempted to pay , but I asked her out so I wouldn't let her. When she finally stopped protesting to pay we went inside and got some seats in the middle back, I picked a good time not a lot of pre-teens were there. Lets not think about it.
"I can't believe i'm actually about to watch this"Normani moved closer to me."shhh you'll be fine , eat your candy"she did as she she was told.
Half way through the movie and I can feel Normani shaking, I felt bad for her but honestly it isn't that scary..."relax..it's just a movie" I whispered in her ear "I...i'm trying but if something pops up again ..I swear I'm...going to cry" she turned towards me "I thought you were going to say scream" I replied. She was still a little shaky , so I decided to put my arm around her. It doesn't seem as easy as it sounds...but when I finally did her body was less tense, but now mine definitely was.
"Did you have fun"I asked ."I must admit it wasn't as bad as I planned it" she said with a small smile "yeah, it doesn't really hit you until you fall asleep" I laughed "haha very funny" Normani said with an annoyed look."let's go to take a walk"I pointed towards the board walk "it's getting late though , Dj" she said with a worried look "yeah..don't worry this the best time to take a walk"
We both began walking "So tell me about your self"Normani smiled ..If she only knew how much I thought about her on a daily basis she would freak out...."um..well i'm 18..I have a big family..I love music and I sing during my free time...my life isn't that interesting".We stopped at a little section by the ocean where you can sit and just talk. So I decided that it was actually time to get to know Normani ..We both sat "so tell me about your self now" I looked into her brown eyes that looked scared by my questions "Hey ...it's okay if you don't want too". I tried comforting her " I lived with my aunt , since I was a baby , my family is pretty big too but were not really close to each other" she looked at the water " what happened to your mom " I said without thinking " I'm sorry...I didn't mean to"I shook my head "she is homeless .. she's a alcoholic and a drug addict ...it doesn't have to be that way though .she just chooses to hurt me and her self..but hey that's life ... right.."Normani's eyes were getting watery.I got up from my seat and picked her up and placed her on my lap and wrapped my arms around her waist. Normani looked at me "I never told anyone that within two days of knowing them" Normani spoke. "Princess I'm so sorry" I felt her head on my shoulder " you have me okay I'm here for you.." now I knew she was crying "I rubbed her back Dinah ..their is so much you don't know about me" she said gently .I lifted her face and looked her in the eyes "I don't care what you've bin through..it's not going to change what I think or feel about you " ....
