Kay sat there on the bus blatantly staring at her phone. She had the same songs and replay, mostly sad or calm ones since there was really nonreason to be extremely upbeat. It was January again, and today was the day that Ana and Elizabeth had gone missing over a year ago. Josh had spent the entire year sulking over his sister's death and everyone had tried to help him cope. He seemed to be getting better, which was good, but he needed something more. So he decided that if he could get everyone to agree, he would plan a trip to go back to the lodge. No one really had any idea why any person would want to go back, but Josh said he wanted one last HOORAH! or something for his sisters since they never had a propper send off.
So in respect for the fact that half the fact that his sisters went missing was because the group had pulled a prank on Ana, they all decided it was best to come. Some of the guys even brought people with them this time as well. Vikk started dating this girl named Alexis in the fall so he brought her along, Tobi and Harry had came this time as well bringing Harry's girlfriend with them. It was kind of weird some, knowing that new people would be there this time , but the more people the better right?
Kay's bus stopped at the head of the Blackwood Pines estate entry and she hopped out. It was still mid day, thank god, so it didn't look at creepy as she remembered. She make her through the brush, smiling at how the snow crunched under her feet. You see, after the indecent Liz and Ana, Kay went back to the Antelope Valley to be with her family for a bit. With all the loss she had faced, having Ethan cheat on her and her friends disappearing, it was hard being around people. So she left for the desert, and nothing ever happened there. It never snowed, it was always hot (especially in the summer) so it was nice being in a place where it cold again. She kicked the snow with her boots and picked up snow balls to throw at random trees.
She soon came accross a gate that had looked partially shattered. There was a note that had one of the metal wires from gate stabbed to it to keep it in place:
Looks like you're the last one! :P
Something happened, gate's
messed up. Try to climb up.
–EthanKay looked at the tall wall that stood next to the gate.
"Nahhh, fuck this," she shook her head. "There has got to be another way around."
Kaylee looked for another way in and soon found there was space in the broken gate she could fit through. It was small, but not too small that she couldn't make it. She pushed her bag through then shimmied her way through as well. Her hair got caught in one the pieces of the gate and when she moved back to unknot it she accidentally cut the hand of her hand a bit with one of the gate wires. She swore and her breath and winced as she pulled the rest of herself throught the gate. Grabbing her bag she stood and continued toward the ski lodge, sucking on the back of her hand every few seconds so that the blood would stop.
She soon accross the gondola station where she had thought she would be waiting for her gondola alone. But seeing as there was a backpack rested against a bench on the side of the lodge, Kay could tell there was company.
She tossed her bag next the other one, causing someone's phone the fall out of the bag next to hers. She debated looking at the text on the screen, but before she could even make a move, the last person she wanted to see popped up from the side of the building.
