"Simon where are we going?" Caitlyn giggled as he pulled her snow.
The couple had been walking in the snow for quite some time now, hoping over bushes and trees and even occationally bumping into animals along the way. Caitlyn had no idea where they where going, only Simon had any knowledge of where they were headed. Back the cabin, Josh had given him a key -- a very special key -- that opened the guest cabin a few miles away from the original lodge. Simon had begged Josh for that key even before they had gotten to mountains, knowing that there was going to be drama between Cait and Sharna from the start. Josh had denied Simon's destraught begging at first, but from seeing the way the girls had acted... he knew what was best.
So there the lovely couple was, out and about in the snow covered grounds, seeking for a destination that only one knew about.
They soon came up to a ledge were there was a binocular scope standing near the railing. Simon tried to continue on but Caitlyn ran up to it.
"OOOH! Telescope," she sang walking up and looking through it.
Simon shook his head, but it was cute seeing her get excited over something so simple.
Caitlyin swiveled the telescope around, trying to get a good view of everything and list what what she was able to see.
"Yayyyy! Okay I'm gonna' look at the trees..."
Swivel.
"... gonna' look at the clouds..."
Swivel.
"... and I'm gonna' look at the cabin..."
The smile on her face started to fade and backed away from the telescope. Simon frowned at her behavior, confused.
"Hey," he said grabbing her hand once again. "What is it?"
"I think I saw someone at the cabin," Cait nodded at the binoculars "Look."
Simon walked up and put his face near the scope. He did what his girlfriend did; swiveling it around trying to look at everything. He didn't see anything at first but just as he was about to move away some gross, deformed thing with white tinted eyed popped into his sight. Its jagged teeth covered half its face and the whole thing freeked Simon out. He flinched, taking a step back and saying, "WOAH!"
Caitlyn grabbed Simon's arm and held him tight.
"Who was it? What did you see?"
"Nothing," Simon lied. Truth be told, he didn't have the slightest clue what he saw. What kind of animal looked or even resembled anything that he had just saw? Well that was easy: absolutely nothing. He walked up to the telescope again and looked around to see the creature was gone. So, he played it off. "It was probably just a bear or something."
Caitlyn had some dobt in mind, but she went with what Simon was saying. I mean, they were just in the mountains for the weekend... what was the worst that could happen?

"There we are," Simon said unlocking the door to the guest cabin.
The two walked in, suprised at how nice everything had reamained over the year. Nothing seemed out of place. The living room had a couch placed by the fireplace, the kitchen area looked decent, and as far as they knew the bedroom and bathroom were still in good condition. The whole thing read of a scene that could be found in a romance novel, well minus the fact that they were staying the night in the mountains where their friends had possibly died.
Caitlyn flopped down onto the couch, Simon following her. He took a deep breath at the fact that there was no one but him and his lady and no one else. He knew there would be drama during their trip, he was just hoping that the girls could manage themselves. He was extremely wrong.
