Safety Precautions [Part 2; Choice 1]

Vikk had to make a choice:

1. Agree with Alexis.
2. Try to stay with the group.

He knew that it was probably best to stay with the group, but Alexis was right; they could manage themselves.

"Yeah, we'll be fine," he shrugged it off as if it was nothing. "I think we can manage ourselves."

Alexis smiled, grabbing his hand.

"You guys can head back to the cabin and we will just go on ahead," she nodded at Lucy. "We'll be okay."

After exchanging a few hugs and see-you-later's, Vikk and Lexi headed onward on the trail. Vikk felt good that Alexis was satisfied with the choice he made by agreeing with her. And Lexi was glad that he agreed. So the happy couple went off on a bit of a high

But what they didn't know was what was yet to come...
