No, Jungkook did not have a legit heart attack in the lobby of a rundown apartment building. It sure did feel like one though. However, when Jungkook awoke in a bedroom that was most certainly not his, he was pretty sure he was having a heart attack. Again? For the first time? Whatever. He sat up and looked around, pulling the duvet off of him and spinning so his feet were on the hardwood floor. It was a fairly simple room, a single window above a desk in the corner, what he assumed was a closet and the twin bed he was sitting on.
"Oh good, you're not dead yet." His attention shifted to the person standing in the doorway. Taehyung. He was in Taehyung's bed. OhhhhmygOd.
"Yet?" Jungkook asked, his voice small.
"We'll all die my precious Jungkookie, unless you're secretly a vampire." Taehyung giggled, bringing in a tray of oatmeal for his 'patient'. "I figured you'd be hungry, since you pretty much fainted and then hibernated."
"Hibernated? W-what time is it?" Jungkook questioned, attempting to take the spoon and bowl of porridge from Taehyung, only to be pushed away.
"No, I'll feed you. You're sick. I think. Also it's 8:30."
"8:30?! That's way too long-" Jungkook was interrupted when a spoonful of warm porridge was shoveled into his mouth, almost choking him.
"Shh... You're weak, let me take care of you."
"What are you? My new mom?"
"Well, no. But if you're into things like that I can be your dadd-"
"That was NOT an offer," Jungkook gently hit Taehyung's, making the elder giggle. "I'm sorry I made you take care of me after I collapsed for pretty much no reason."
Taehyung frowned, feeding Jungkook another spoonful. "Shut the hell up, I wanted to take care of you. You didn't collapse for no reason, you panicked and you fainted. If anything I should be apologising for making you panic." Taehyung paused, thinking about his words. "I would've left you with your mom, but I knew she probably wouldn't keep an eye on you, she seemed a bit untrustworthy when my family met her."
"She wasn't always like this." Jungkook smiled sadly, clasping his hands together. "It's kind of my fault." He laughed bitterly, biting the inside of his cheek.
"You don't have to go into detail if you don't want. You don't have to share anything Kookie, but I'll listen if you want to open up." Taehyung sympathized, setting the tray off to the side and gently rubbing circles in Jungkook's back. Jungkook looked up and made eye contact with Taehyung, his heart skipping a beat when the other flashed him a reassuring smile.
Taehyung made Jungkook feel safe, he made him feel warm and he felt like home. In the very short period of time the two had known each other, Jungkook had grown to trust the elder because of the aura he gave off.
"It's a long story, so get comfortable."
