Jungkook was surprised to see Taehyung show up 5 minutes early to his work place, flowers in hand and a smile on his face. He really commits. Jungkook smiled, greeting the elder and telling him it'd be a few minutes before his shift was over, so he could browse while he finished up.
"Taehyung!" Jungkook called once he was freed from his work duties, walking up behind the other. Taehyung spun around, eyes lighting up seeing Jungkook. He flashed him a 1000-watt smile and grabbed his hand, practically dragging the younger outside the store.
"C'mon Kookie! There's a muffin calling my name at the coffee shop and I'm not letting some middle-aged lady have it first." He giggled, walking into the shop and up into the small line, Jungkook trailing behind him. Jungkook smiled at the other's actions, he's so fucking cute I'm going to die oh my god.
Once they'd taken a seat with their orders clasped in hand, Taehyung began rambling about something or another while Jungkook listening quietly, sipping on his drink and sometimes speaking up to make a few comments. Taehyung was great company and he didn't even notice when Jungkook reached across the table to intertwine their fingers, rubbing circles on Taehyung's hand with his calloused thumb.
"So anyway, Jimin and I are locked outside our dorm room with nothing but miniature honey packets from KFC and a stolen parrot!" Taehyung snorted, reminiscing what Jungkook assumed were his college freshman days. Jungkook laughed along, their food and drink having been finished for a while now. Jungkook licked his lips, and spoke up.
"Taehyung, I had a lot of fun today," He paused before continuing, gauging the elder's reaction, "and I'd like to start seeing you, but I'd have to make sure you're okay with it, because our relationship would probably be affected because of the entire transgender thing and-"
"Jungkook. I understand it's a big deal to you, and you're nervous, but I want you to know nothing like that will make a difference in our relationship." Taehyung smiled, squeezing Jungkook's hand. "I promise I won't treat you anyway you wouldn't want. I'd really like to start seeing you too; you're hot and muscular and cute and you have my sense of humor and you laugh at my jokes..." He ranted, standing up from their seat in the cafe. "You're perfect, and I'd really like to give our relationship a shot."
Jungkook smiled bashfully, "I'd like that too."
The duo exchanged phone numbers, and began walking home, hand in hand. It was particularly chilly, Jungkook's nose tinted red from the cold. Taehyung giggled at how cute Jungkook looked once they reached the apartment and he stopped shivering. The pair trekked up the stairs, towards their neighboring apartments, laughing at a stupid joke Jungkook made. Once they stopped at their doors, Jungkook turned to look at Taehyung, biting his bottom lip.
"I had a lot of fun." Jungkook whispered, his face centimeters away from Taehyung's.
"Me too, but please skip the cheesy romcom bullshit and kiss me goodnight already." Taehyung sighed, his lips quirking upwards into a small smile.
"Whatever you say." Jungkook connected their lips in a shy kiss, his hand coming up to hold Taehyung's cheek. Taehyung smiled and giggled into the kiss before the two broke apart.
"Goodnight Jungkookie."
"Goodnight Taehyung."
