Taehyung wasn't an anxious person. Not under normal circumstances, but he didn't consider this 'normal'. He hadn't heard back from Jungkook in four days now, and Jungkook (from what Taehyung knew) was someone who texted back as soon as he could. He drummed his fingers on his desk, his mind always wandering to Jungkook which made it impossible to write a thesis.

Taehyung groaned and leaned back in his chair, stretching his arms above his head. He quickly unlocked his phone to find 3 unread messages. Frowning, he opened the messaging app, his breath getting knocked from his lungs when he realized who it was from.

Taehyung smiled, making his way to the door of the apartment and shoving his shoes on, grabbing a random coat. He speed-walked to the park, whistling. A huge weight of stress had been lifted off his shoulders, at least Jungkook was okay. Or at least, he assumed he was. When Taehyung got to the park however, the scolding he was going to give Jungkook for worrying him died in his throat. There, sat on a frozen park bench, was a shivering Jungkook, with snot dribbling down his face. Oh no.

Jungkook looked up from where his eyes had been trained at the ground, finally taking notice to Taehyung watching him. He flashed the other a smile before quickly hiding his face behind his sleeve, attempting to rub the tears out of his eyes only leaving the skin red, irritated, and puffy. Jungkook felt a pair of arms wrap around his shoulders, his heart fluttering when he realized Taehyung was holding him tightly.

"Do you want to talk about it, baby?" Taehyung whispered, petting Jungkook's hair and rocking him back and forth, attempting to comfort him. Taehyung's lack of personal boundaries always succeeded in making the other feel comforted but yet anxious. Jungkook took a shaky breath, attempting to form phonetic sounds before bursting into tears again and he swears he's spent more time crying in front of Taehyung than he needs to. Taehyung's heart shattered at the sound of Jungkook hiccuping in his arms. He buried his face in the other's fluffy black hair, whispering words of comfort.

The pair sat for a while on that cold park bench; Jungkook cried, and Taehyung listened.
