Exciting Developments

* A week later *

* Kimberly's POV *

"How are you two doing?" I ask. Miranda and Reid nod and say they're doing fine. It makes me happy that they're getting better after the horrific condition they came home in.

"Sis?" Reid asks me. I turn to look at him. "Yes little brother?" I say. Reid puts his arm around Miranda and smiles. "I have something to tell you." he says. I narrow my eyes at him and wait for what he has to say.

"Miranda is my girlfriend." Reid blurts out. Neil and I gasp and look at them with wide eyes.

"Reid, you finally did it!!!" Neil says happily. Reid and Neil smile at each other and Reid kisses Miranda's cheek.

"Reid, why didn't you say something sooner? How long has this been a thing?" I ask. Reid smirks and looks at me.

"I told her how I felt when we were stuck in the game. When the doctors let us around each other we started talking about it, and she said yes when I asked if she'd be my girlfriend. We hid it from you to give us a chance to figure things out." Reid explains to me.

I nod in understanding. I'm very proud of my brother; he's become so mature. Neil and I are so happy the rest of our visit with Reid and Miranda. They're such a cute couple; they act as if they've been together for a long time, and they just seem to know each other on a deeper level.

"Please don't tell mom and dad." Reid says suddenly. "I want to be the one to tell them, but I have to get better in order to go to their house and talk to them."

"We won't Reido. Why would we do that to you?" Neil asks. Reid shrugs and says "I dunno, just making sure." I chuckle at Reid's personality. "Well you're good bud." Neil says.

We don't stay as long as we originally planned on after finding out that they're together. We want to give them some space to be a couple.

I hug Reid and Miranda gently, as they're both still healing. Neil does the same, and we soon leave them to their own devices.
