Tara's POV
"Tara are you my aunty!?" Luke yelled out I looked at the young boy with curiosity I then realised I was just starring at him "that all depends" I chuckled "do you want me to be you're aunty?" I asked, Luke sat their thinking of his answer before nodding his head "yes!" Luke threw his arms around my neck hugging me I chuckled as I hugged him back "although uncle mark and I aren't married, you know?" I whispered in his ear "I know but I don't care" Luke's words made me laugh. After dinner and grace and Luke were sent off to bed along with Sheila Beth, mark, Thomas and I where seated downstairs next to the burning fire Beth opened a bottle of white wine and poured mark, Thomas and herself a glass "Tara would you like some?" Beth asked I scrunched my nose up "no thanks, I don't drink wine" "does its taste not appeal to you?" Thomas asked I shook my head "no, I just don't really like to drink" I answered looking down embrassed "hey it's nothing to be ashamed about" Beth grabbed my shoulder "I'm going to go upstairs" I announced "what why?" Everyone choursed "I'm feeling really tried" I lied "it was a pleasure to meet you beth" I told her before she pulled me into a hug "good night tara" Thomas called out as I walked up the stairs.
I finished brushing my teeth and walked back into the room to see mark standing in the doorway he didn't say anything he just looked at me then he started walking over to me still saying nothing and just looking at me, he stopped just inches in front of me before he snaked an arm around my waist and pulled me against his body after a few moments he stepped back slightly "what's really wrong?" He asked breaking the silence "my mother was an alcoholic, thats why I don't like to drink" mark continued to look at me "it's not a big deal" I reassured him then he laughed "is that it?" I couldn't help but smile I nodded my head realising how stupid I was acting because I'm nothing like my mother, I'm like my dad. Make and I climbed into bed together before we fall asleep in each other's arms.
"Tara? Uncle Mark?" I heard two soft voices calling out in my sleep mark groaned as I turned in his arms "Tara! Uncle mark!" The voices grew louder and louder "wake up!" As I opened my eyes I saw Luke and Grace launched themselves on top me and mark the continued to jump up and down yelling "it's Christmas! Wake up!" " we're awake" I giggled the two children stopped jumping on us "I want to see if Santa really came!" Grace squealed excitedly "come with us as see!" Luke said with pleading eyes "okay. But Tara and I need to shower first, so we will see you downstairs alright?" Mark told them both kids nodded their heads then scrambled out of the room. After my shower I put on some blue skinny jeans and a red sweater and wrapped a white scarf around my neck and left my waist length hair out I sat crossed legged on the edge of the bed waiting for mark to get out of the bathroom, when mark came out of the bathroom he was wearing his markiplier hoodie and a pair of light blue jeans he looked at me sitting on the bed "you ready to go?" He asked standing in front of me I nodded my head. Suddenly mark picked me up off the bed I quickly wrapped my legs around his waist and my arms arouhd his neck so I wouldn't fall, mark placed his hands on my hips and smiled at me before he leaned in and kissed me "let's go"
