Chapter 14

Harry's Pov

I ran downstairs, I just needed to get away. Louis sounded so fragile, I had to leave him. I cant continue to fall in love with him, it will only make things worse for everyone. I know it hurts him, but it hurts me more.

I didn't know where to go. What was I going to do. I can't go back in there. Where can I sleep? I need to clear my head.

I ran for the front door, passing Zayn, who was in the kitchen. "Harry?" He called out. I kept running.  stumbled out side into the cold, damp night. I don't know what I'm doing or where I'm going.

I continued to run. I ran through the woods. My legs felt like jelly. My head was spinning and I was out of breath but I kept running.

I stopped abruptly, my feet skidded through the soft ground for traction. I caught my balance. I stood before a drop off. I few feet down was a lake.

It was breath taking the water was so clear. The moon light reflected onto the still pool of water causing it to glow radiantly. I felt safe here.

It was soothing, Listening to the crickets chirp and the small distant sounds of the night. I inhaled the fresh, crisp air. I closed my eyes. All of my thoughts and worries drifted away.

I lied down on the cool damp grass. Staring out into the night sky. I connected the stars trying to remember some of the constellations I learned in astronomy.

I heard a sudden ruffling next to me. Zayn lied down beside me looking out at the night sky with me. "It's beautiful isn't it?" He breathed.

"Yeah." I looked at him, he looked at peace. "Zayn?" He faced me. "Yeah, Buddy?" I looked back up at the sky. He watched me waiting for me to continue. "Do you ever wish you could go back? Before X Factor? Before when life was simple?"

He stayed silent for a while. "Sometimes, but I think that life changed for the better, I'm so lucky to have this experience and I would never trade it for anything."

We lied in silence taking in the moment. It was so simple out here. I felt like this place was timeless. "Do you want to talk about things between you and Louis?" I nodded but I don't think he saw me. "Yeah actually, I do." He waited for me to talk, I didn't feel rushed. Zayn was a good listener. I told him everything that had happened tonight up until now. I told him about my plan to forget my feelings towards Louis.

When I was finished he stayed quiet, he was deep in thought. "Harry." He finally spoke. "The bond you and Louis have is special. I have seen the way you look at him. That kind of love only comes once in a life time. You can't let him go."

Zayn's words stuck with me but I had to let him go. He's right I'll never love anyone as much as I love Louis, but Louis will never love me as much as I love him.

I woke up freezing. the sun was blinding me. I felt cold and wet. I looked up, I was outside. Trees hung over me and clouds streaked the blue sky. In the distance I could see dark storm clouds heading our way. I rolled over to see Zayn passed out next to me. We must have fallen asleep out here.

"Zayn." I nudged his shoulder. I scrunched up his face and fluttered his eyes open. "W-where are we.' His voice was heavy with sleep.

"We feel asleep out here." He sat up looking around. I stood up admiring the view. "It really is beautiful out here." He stood beside me. "Yeah, it is. Liam, Niall and I found this place yesterday. They decided to jump from here." He motioned towards the water. "Really? Did you jump." I nudged him teasingly, Zayn couldn't swim so I always joked about that stuff.

"Yeah." I looked at him I shock. "No way. You're lying to me." He smirked. "No really, I did. It was terrifying. Liam caught me and helped me to shore."  That's adorable. I watched has he smiled as he talked about Liam. "Aw! Zayn! That's so cute!" I pinched his cheeks. "

"Shut up." He smacked my hand away blushing. He had a huge grin on his face.

We headed back towards the cabin. The second I opened the door Liam and Niall ran towards us. They stopped in front of us, arms crossed. "Where were you?" Liam asked in his 'Daddy Direction' voice. I snickered, He raised a brow at me.

He waited for me to answer. I stopped laughing. "Went on a walk." I stated simply. "All night, with Zayn?" Liam's voice was stern he sounded jealous almost. Does he fancy Zayn? I shrugged the thought away.

"Yes." I responded. Liam didn't look happy. This time Niall was the one to talk. "Well, I hope you two had fun." He directed his attention to me. "Louis' really sick, but more importantly he's been crying all day."

Louis was crying, was it because of me? There has to be a reason. I felt a pang in my chest. I hurt him. I want to think it wasn't me but deep down I know I did it.

Zayn noticed my hurt expression. His face hardened, he turned to Niall and Liam. "Fuck off Niam, Harry didn't try to hurt anyone. You two accusing him isn't helping anyone." He wrapped his arm around me protectively.

Niall looked angry but Liam just looked hurt .When Zayn called them by their ship name, Niam, his face fell. Liam looked near tears.

I felt kind of bad. Liam saw Zayn's arm around me.I gave Zayn a look. His expression softened. He dropped his arm.

Liam ran off. I'm positive Liam has feelings for Zayn now. Niall glared at us before going after Liam.

 Niall's Pov

I chased after Liam. I can't believe Zayn would say that, Liam was just worried for everyone. I went to his door and knocked softly. "Liam?" He didn't  answer. I opened the door he was sitting on the edge of his bed with his face buried in his hands.

"Please, Niall, just go away." I sat down next to him. "I know." He looked at me with red eyes. "W-what?" I patted his back. "I know how you feel about Zayn. He didn't mean what he said, he was just defending Harry."

"I know... I just, It hurts." He looked down. "How did you know?" He asked me wiping his eyes. "It was kind of obvious mate. Last night after we played that game I knew for sure."

He raised his brows. "You planned that?" I chuckled, "Yeah..." He pushed me giggling. "I can't believe you!" He pulled me into a hug. "Thank you." He whispered.

 Everything around here has been so chaotic. We needed to bring every one back together. For Liam and Zayn, it will be easy. I don't think I can say the same for Louis and Harry.

Short chapter, I need to give up the computer. I'll write again tonight. I'm running low on ideas so if you have any it would help!
