I slept in Percy's Cabin that night. We had a little talk about the quest, then slept.
In the morning, I ran to my room. I opened the door, and found a small, green backpack on my bed. There was a silver card attached to it. It read:
To Jasmine,
Good luck on your quest! This is a little gift to help you.
This backpack isn't any ordinary backpack. It had unlimited space, so you can put anything in there, and it will be there when you need it. When you don't need it, it will disappear. Also, no matter what you put in it, it will hardly weigh anything.
Happy Questing,
Jade.Awsome. I grabbed Spellbound, and put it in the backpack. As soon as I put my hand out, it disappeared. I willed for it to come back, and it did.
Sweet! I piled in two extra pairs of clothes, Some nectar and ambrosia, a water bottle and some food. I slipped on my backpack. It hardly weighed a thing! I went to Jades room, and knocked on her door. She opened it, and grinned.
"Hey!" She says.
"Hi. I just wanted to say thank you for the backpack. I'll probably be going soon."
"No problem. Good luck on your quest!" She grins.
I go outside to find Argus standing besides the van. Percy is their, doing an element fight with Leo. I smirk.
I send a blob of water at Leo's flame, and shot ice at Percy's water. The flame is put out and the water freezes. They look at me.
"Shows over show-ponys" I smirk.
"Awww" Leo says, pouting. I kiss him on the cheek, and we hop into the van.
"Argus can only take us as far as New York." Percy informs me.
"Well, what are we waiting for?" I ask. Argus starts the engine, and we drive away from the only home I've ever loved, unsure if I'll ever return there.
---------------------------
Argus pulls over at the nearest motel, and drives away. Its probably a 3 star hotel. Not shabby, but not fancy. Like a house kinda.
"Umm... To me it says Thol Meren. What does it actually say?" Percy asks, being the dyslexic he is.
"Sonterm Hotel" I say, since Im not dyslexic. Something about this place sends a wave of anxiousness over me...
Nope, thats just me being hungry probably.
We walk in, but the lady at the desk isn't pleasant. Rude, obnoxious, and annoying. But thats only to me. To the boys, she's sweet, caring, and even gave them a small discount. Weird. Something in my head seems to be buzzing, but I ignore it. We pay for our room, and take the elevator up. When we reach our place, the buzzing is so faint it's like nothings there. We examine the place, then choose our own room.
Percy's cooking up dinner, so I pop into Leo's room. Literally.
"HOLY SHIZKEBABS!" Leo cries. I smile, sitting down.
"Sorry, practicing. I need to get better, because teleporting suddenly will be useful in combat."
"Couldn't you just teleport us West?"
"Well, A: We don't know how far West we need to go, So I might go to far or to short of our destination. B: I need to practice teleporting more, since I'm only just learning, and C: It would take way to much energy, and thats like Shadow-Traveling to China. Exhausting. Even by the end of the month, I could probably only teleport to the end of Camp and back without getting quite tired." I state.
