I scare the daylights out of people.

I hear voices, the clinking of cutlery, and... hooves? I realise someone's spoon feeding me some small cubes of some sort. It tastes like raspberry jelly. I groggily open my eyes, but someone hastily shoves another spoonfull in my mouth, and I fall asleep again.

I wake up, this time I'm alone. Except for Grover, who's sitting in a chair. I sit up, but wince. I lie back in my seat, trying to process what happened. The Earthborn, boulders, demigods, Grover with goat legs...

"Hey, Grover" I groan. He jumps, obvoiusly unaware that I awoke. I look at his legs. There goat legs.

"Grover, whatever your doing, its not helping me. To me, you still have flippin goat legs!" I groan. Grover facepalms.

"No. I actually have goat legs. Now shut up about hallucinating, because I am real, and so are the gods, and drink this" He says.

He hands me some type of liquid in a cup. I take a sip, expecting it to taste like those breakfast drinks. Crushed up Weetbix mixed with chocolate milk. But it didn't taste anything like it.

It taste's like brownies. Gooey on the inside, just came out of the oven, chocolate brownies. It was delicious. I quickly finished the drink.

"More?" I ask.

"Better not risk anymore Nectar" He says, taking the glass.

"Nectar? Like, bee's and butterflies" I ask.

"No. Thats what mortals call nectar. This is a gods drink. Too much can kill. Same with the ambrosia you fed me"

Wow.

"How do you feel?" Grover asks.

"Like I could throw anyone ten feet away" I reply. "And If I see one more Greek creature, or you doing a backflip, I'll finally believe you"

"Great. I'll take you to Chiron"

* * *

Grover escorts me to the porch. I spot a man in a wheelchair, and man who clearly knows his way with wine, playing Texas Hold 'Em.

"Chiron. This is Jasmine Dragonite" Grover tells the dude in the wheelchair.

"New camper. Welcome to Camp Half-Blood!" He grins at me and Grover. He outstretches his hand, and I shake it. The wine man grunts and looks up for a tiny bit. I see that his eyes are bloodshot.

"Welcome, now I belive I just won with my flush" the wine dude said, revealing his cards. Chiron groans.

"Mr.D, could you please be nicer to this lady, and anyway, I won with my 4 of a kind" He lays down his cards. Mr.D grunted. Apparently, He got beaten alot by this dude. This guy took the pile of chips and faced me again.

"Anyway. Grover, have you explained pretty much everything to her?"

"Yes, except you Chiron" Grover replies.

"Ok. So, Miss.Dragonite. Please dont scream"

Chiron starts to get up. But when he finished, I found out why I was told not to scream.

Chiron was half horse.

"A Centaur!" I say. "Wait, are you the actual Chiron? The one who trained heros?"

"Yes, I am" He grins. "Glad to be reconised."

"Grover, you have finally convinced me. But, didnt you train heroes thousands of years ago?" I ask.

"As long as I am training heros, I can be alive" He replies. I couldn't belive it. The actual Greek Chiron!

"What do I call you?" I ask, wondering if he is to be addressed as 'Sir'

"Just call me Chiron. And Mr.D" he gestures him. "Well, see if you can figure it out."

That's when I notice the smell of grapes. Wine grapes. And then Mr.D does something amazing. He summons up wine.

"Mr.D, your restrictions" Chiron said in a warning tone. Mr.D mumbles something, and changes the wine to a Diet Coke Can, and chugs the drink down.

"Your Dionysus, God of Wine." I say, astonished.

"Yes. Hope you 'enjoy' camp, because I sure don't." He grumbles. I give a puzzled look at Chiron.

"Mr.D had to spend quite a few years as punishment." Chiron said, answering my look. Why would getting sent to a camp full of Ninja half-god kids be a punishment?

"Mr.D, are you finished with the Diet Coke?" Grover asked.

"What? Oh, yes, you can have it." Mr.D said, handing out cards for another round of Texas Hold 'Em.

And Grover starts to eat the Diet Coke Can

"Umm, Grover, your supposed to drink out of the can, not eat it" I say.

"Oh, no. Not for a satyr." Grover says.

Ok... I guess that explains the missing pen that I lost at school.

"Do you know how to play?" Mr.D asked.

"Huh? Oh, yeah, I do" I say quickly. I sit down next to Grover. I wasn't lying. Some people at one of my schools taught me how to play. I pick up my hand.

"And Greger, please don't eat the cards" Mr.D mumbles, putting a chip in.

"Grover" He says, looking hungrily at the cards. I put a chip in too. Mr.D flips over the other two cards.

"Has she been claimed?"

"Not yet" Grover says, after finishing his mouthful of aliminium.

"Don't worry Jasmine, you'll be claimed at the campfire. Its strange for you not to be claimed at thirteen, but maybe the gods are know claiming their children only when they come to camp... But besides, you'll be claimed" Chiron reassures me, folding.

All this talk of 'dont worry' just makes me worry more. What if Im not claimed? What if Im not a demigod, and they just send me back to the Motel. Chiron see's my worried face.

"Don't worry, (there it is again. 'Don't worry,) The gods made an oath to always claim there children."

We reveal our hands.

"Full house" Mr.D says.

"3 of a kind, Jack high" Grover mumbles.

"Straight Flush" I say. Mr.D grumbles.

"Jasmine, would you like a tour of the place?" Chiron ask's.

"Sure." I get up from my chair, and follow Chiron. He takes me to a place with 20 cabin's. And they are the strangest cabin's ever.

One is blood red, with a wild boar head above the door. Another is covered with plant life. Sunflowers, Daisy's, Grape vines, everything. And there were two white columned buildings, that stood in the middle. Chiron takes me to one labelled

'Cabin 3.' He knocks, and a black haired boy answers. For some reason, my fingers started tingling when we got near the building.

"Hey Chiron, who's this?" He asks.

"Percy, this is Jasmine Dragonite. Jasmine, Percy Jackson." Chiron says, introducing us to each other. We shake hands. "Can you please give her the tour?"

"Sure" Percy says. Chiron trots away and I follow Percy.

"Right over here is the Infirmary, where people who fight with Ares kids mainly end up" Percy says. I laugh. Of course they would. He's the God of War.

"And here is the forges, where you can make your own weapons and armour." He says. He points to some people making swords, hammering away with sparks flying everywhere.

"But you'll probably get your own sword."

"When?" I ask.

"Near the end of the tour" He says.

He points out the sword training arena, the forest, the archery (one of his least favourite places,) and the lake.

"Now, This is one of my favorite places" He says. And then we continue.

It's not that long of a tour, mainly because I'll do these activites with my Cabin when I get claimed. But I learn a few important things.

Like the climing wall spews lava if your not quick enough.

And Ares kids can smash you to pulp.

Percy is the Saviour of Olympus (Twice) and he has survived Tartarus (:O)

And finally, Percy is all alone in his Cabin. I feel sorry for him, having to sleep and do the activites alone. The only time he gets to do them with someone is when his Cyclops brother visits.

"Wait, what?" I ask when he told me this.

"Cyclopes brother" He says again.

"Um... oooo-kay?"

Then he points out the dining pavilon.

"Don't worry, you'll sit with the Hermes Cabin for dinner. And they'll tell you when we go"

"Why can't I sit with you?" I ask.

"Rules. Only sit with your Cabin mates." He sighs. It must feel lonely, sitting at a table all on your own.

"So, do you have dyslexia?" He ask's.

"No. I have ADHD though" I say.

"Good. Otherwise you would be useless in a fight" He says.

How touching. Not.

"Your just a ray of sunshine and kindness aren't you" I say. He grins.

"Well, Mr. Sunshine can also detect sarcasm"

He finishes off the tour by taking me to the weaponary room. There are bows, swords, daggers, katanas, everything.

"Pick one up, and see if it feels right" Percy said. I pick up a long sword. It feels too light. Then I pick up a big bronze sword. It nearly lands on my foot. Wayyy to heavy. I continuously pick up weapon after weapon, but each one us either too heavy or too light.

"I give up. Maybe I'll have to make one" I say, sitting down outside.

"Maybe" Percy says. Then I remember what happened at the school. That tomohawk was too light, but maybe...

I concentrate on one thing: a sword.

It shimmers into my hand. It is perfectly straight, and seems to glow silver. It's hilt is gold, and it has a purple sapphire encrusted into the hilt. It weight is perfect.

Percy stares at it in disbelief.

"How did you..." He begins.

"I dont know. It happened at school, where I got the tomohawk. But that one was way to light. This sword fell's perfect" I tell Percy.

Just then, a shadow feel over us.

"Who's this?" Someone behind us asks. We turn around. Standing right behind us is the strongest girl I've ever seen. She has big muscles, and is HUGE! She had red hair and freckles on her face.

"Clarisse, what brings you here" Percy ask's, In a hating tone.

"Why else, to give this newbie the test, Prissy. Remember what happened with you? Well, we changed it" She spits at him.

Prissy? So funny.

"No, Clarisse. Don't" Percy said.

"All I need is her name, and for her to do the test" Clarisse orders.

"It's ok Percy" I tell him. I've stood up to bullies like Clarisse before. Percy tries to pull me down, but I shrug him off.

"Jasmine Dragonite" I say, putting on a fake smile and putting my hand out for a shake. I am aware that some campers are watching me. Perfect. Clarisse takes my hand.

"Clarisse La Rue. Ready for the test, punk?" She asks.

"As ready as I'll ever be." And I strike.

I twirl around, twisting Clarisse's arm as I go. Because she didn't expect it, she groans in pain. I jump on her head, land behind her, and RUN LIKE THE WIND!!

Now, I have a strategy with bullies. If I think I can outrun them, I kick them,(Boys in the splits area,) and run. I've been doing that for every bully I come across. Clarisse was no different. I think of a place to hide.

Percy's Cabin? Maybe. But I can't think of any other place, so I run to Cabin 3, and jump through the doors. I hide behind a bed, and wait. And wait. Finally, after 7 long minites of hiding, Percy walks into the room.

"Percy" I say. He jumps a mile high.

"Jasmine, what are you doing here?" He asks.

"Hiding. Didn't you see what I did to Clarisse? Anyway, This was the only place I know for a good hiding spot" I say. He sighs.

"Next time, tell me when you do it, because I want to video it and put it on Youtube."

I laugh. "Can I leave without getting pounded in the face?"

"Yup. I'll take you to the Hermes kids, and they'll take you in until the campfire tonight" Percy reassures. He takes me to the sword training arena, where a bunch of kids are partnered up and duelling.

"Hey! This is a new camper, Jasmine!" Percy shouts.

They all look at me and Percy.

"Is she claimed yet?" Someone asks.

"No, but she will be at the camp fire" Percy says. "Good luck Jas" He leaves.

I nervously walk down the steps to everyone.

"Hello Jas, wanna practise?" A boy asks. Another boy who looks exactly like him walks over to him.

"C'mon Conner, I think she needs to duel a girl, the boys will let her win because she's cute" The boy's twin says. I glare at him. I mean, true to say that nearly everyone in my Maths class liked me last year, but still.

"Why can't I duel her Travis? What about you? You have a Girlfriend" Conner says.

"I do not have one yet bro. But ok, lets duel" Travis tells us. He takes me to the middle, and everyone watches.

"Got your weapon yet?" He asks, drawing out his sword.

"Coming up" I say. The same silver sword appears in my hand. Travis stares, like everyone else has done, but quickly shakes out of it.

"Ready... DUEL!"

I lunge at him. I duck his first strike, and sweep him off his feet. He falls, but rolls to dodge my strike. He jumps up and kicks me in the chest. I fall, and that's when I start to get real angry. I jab at him, he deflects. He jabs at me, I deflect. I swipe at his head, but he ducks. He jabs at me, and I deflect his strike so hard, the sword flies out of his hands. I put my sword under his throat, and reslise its shortened into a dagger.

Then, an even weirder thing happens.

A mini rattlesnake slithers up my dagger, straight towards Travis.

His eyes widen, and I swear I see tears in his eyes. He whimpers, and beads of sweat trickle down his face. The snake settles on Travis shoulders. I don't know why Im not running away. I feel like the snake is under my command, and was made out of my anger. I hear someone sprinting away. Everyone who is watching us has stepped back. The snake fades away.

"Umm... Ok..." I say. How did I do it?

"Jasmine... that was AMAZING! How did you do that?" Someone in the Hermes cabin asks.

"Where did Conner go?" Someone asks.

I look around. Conner is nowhere in the sword training arena. Not even under a chair. Then something clicks. Travis whimpering and sweating, someone running away, the snake.

I made Conner and Travis's biggest fear out of anger.
