Alley Way Terrors

A jolt wakes me up from my slumber. My eyes flutter open, and I try to sit up. A hand pats me back down, and I realise its Leo.

"Where are we? What happened?" I ask.

"Heading west. Where else?" Percy says. I look around, and I see the tree's whiz past from inside the car.

"I want to know what happened" Leo says. I forgot that he got knocked out as well.

"Well, You and me got kidnapped, and Echidna beat you up for information, making you unconsious. Jasmine saved us by stabbing the Chimera in the heart, then killed Echidna. Jasmine passed out, and I put you guys in the car. Oh, and their are about 4 skeletons chasing us, made by my blood. So their probably chasing me" Percy says.

Leo gapes.

"THE CHIMERA?! THOSE THINGS ARE LIKE, A FREAKING RIHNO TANK MIXED WITH A MILITARY JET MIXED WITH THE WHILE MILITARY! (Gta Five :P) HOW THE HADES DID YOU KILL IT?" He screams.

"What? It was hard" I say.

"It was hard for Bellerphon" Percy says.

"Who?"

"The only other person who has killed the Chimera"

He used a lead ball. Thats right. Who knew a mighty Greek Monster would die of lead poisoning?

"Wait. Skeletons?" I ask.

"Yup" Percy says, like its no biggie.

"Percy. This is huge. How do we defeat them?"

"Last time we used the daughter of Hades, so I thought that you might be able to take them on" Percy said, shrugging.

"Well, thanks for making me seem like a tool" I mumble.

"Sorry" He says. "Oh, another thing. The lady at the reception was an empousa. I finished her".

Something clicks in my mind.

"Guys, we stayed in a monster hotel" I say.

"Um... the hotel wasn't that good" Leo says.

"No,no. Sonterm Hotel. Monster Hotel. Its an anagram"

"Well, crabs"

I sigh, and watch the landscape fly past the window.

But beware of the gem that made couples in cells... What does that mean?

"Who wants to drive? Ive been going for hours"

Hours later, I pull into Detroit. I pull out why cash I have, and frown. Not enough.

"Guess its the alleyways for us"

We walk around Detroit, and pass a shop. Leo turns pale, and stumbles. I catch him.

"Whoa, slow down Leo. What's the matter?" I ask.

"Monocle Motors. Its still here"

I look at the sign. Thats excatly what it says. I look at Leo. He's even paler, and he's muttering "Cyclops..."

"Lets go"

We head far away from that place, and turn down an ally. No-one there. I pull out the sleeping bags and pillows. I lay them out, along with some sticks.

"Leo. Please" I say, pointing to the sticks. He grins, and a fireball shoots out of his outstretched finger. The flames dance atop of the sticks, bathing us in heat.

"Who's hungry?"

"Me" Leo and Percy say in synch. I grin, and shoot a duck that just flew above us, straight in the eye.

"Duck for dinner" I say, shooting two more.

"Hunger Games much" Leo murmurs.

"Don't complain, unless you want to be on the end of the arrow" I joke.

We dig into our duck, hungry from our trip. The stars come out, and a wave of tiredness washes over me. I devour the whole head before I remembered to breathe.

"Night" Percy said, and jumped into his sleeping bag. Before long, he was peacefully sleeping.

Me and Leo sat awkwardly around the fire.

"So" He says.

"Whats your past like?" I blurt out. "Sorry" I quickly say.

"No. Its ok" Leo says. The truth was, I hardly knew anything about him. I cuddled closer to him, and he started to reveal his history.

"My mother died in a fire accident in a workshop. I had a crazy babysiter when I was little, who turned out to be Hera. (What the Hades?!) She made me sleep in a fire before. I've run away from every single school I've been to. I've only been on two quests. This is my third. Saved the world. Thats about it" Leo says, shrugging.

"Workshop fire accident?" I ask. He sighs.

"Gaia visited me when I was young. Made me angry. Couldn't control myself. Fire spread everywhere. Mum didnt make it out alive"

A tear fell down his face.

I stayed silence, just holding his hand. Leo looks into the flames, crying even more now.

I shot a stream of water at the fire, and it disappeared. I sat their, not tired or hungry anymore.

Thats when I hug Leo, and he cries into my shoulder. I just sit there, patting him occasionally. We just stay there for a while, as the tears flow.

Then, a whip of a sword grazed my arm. A kick of a foot sent Leo backwards. I summon my sword, but I wasn't quick enough. A sword to my throat, another sword swipe, and Leo and me are defenceless. The attackers sword at my throat in one hand, My sword 10 meters away, and Leo's tool belt in the other hand.

"Want her to live, come with me" A raspy voice said, before noticing that Leo is knocked out.

Percy tightened his grip on me, eyes golden as the sun.

"The eyes of golden will fill the one's of might"

This is what it meant.
